The property

Spring Garden Cottage is a delightful, traditional old beamed cottage in the heart of the fascinating town of Laugharne.

With its large rooms and busy central location, this cottage is ideal for a family break in the beautiful Carmarthenshire or those looking to explore Pembrokeshire.

The large, traditionally furnished living diner with large comfortable seating proves to be the perfect area for sitting back and relaxing in front of the woodburner and TV after a busy day exploring the interesting area.

The house is beautifully furnished with a mixture of traditional wood and modern, stylish marble-effect worktops in the well-equipped kitchen and tiles in the family bathroom.

The upstairs is light and airy, revealing two large, stylishly decorated bedrooms with views to the surrounding area as they finish the interior of this property beautifully.

To the back of this property sits a substantial, attractive enclosed garden with two patio seating areas and a large lawned area, perfect for the children and dogs to play in whilst you enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

The town of Laugharne is brimming with history and culture.

It has an astounding castle which can be seen from Spring Garden Cottage.

It is the home of the well-known poet Dylan Thomas, you can visit his Boat House and the shed where he used to write a lot of his impressive work, or why not pop into Brown's Hotel, previously frequented by the poet, and enjoy a drink and chat with the locals.

Surrounding Laugharne there are no less than five theme parks for you and the family to enjoy, as well as the seaside towns of Tenby, Saundersfoot and beaches at Amroth and Pendine.

About the location

Tenby 16 miles.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
