Ty Gwennol Cottages

Set in the scattered village of Dinas Cross, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, these two charming holiday properties sit within the attractive grounds of the welcoming owner’s home. Both cottages offer a comfortable base for your holiday, with the ground floor apartment providing flexible sleeping arrangements, and whether booked separately or together, both are ideal bases for a relaxing couple’s holiday. Enjoy the privacy of your own outdoor seating area or follow one of the superb walks right from the doorstep, down to beautiful coves and the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path, less than a mile away. A short walk will take you to very pretty hamlet of Cwm-yr-Eglwys, with its church ruins resting right at the edge of the sea, or enjoy a walk to Pwllgwaelod Cove for a treat in the delightful tea rooms, or onto the Preseli Mountains, where the mystical Stonehenge bluestones originated. Also the Poppit Rocket, a frequent bus service for walkers using the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, passes the door and calls at all the local beaches. Newport, less than three miles away, is a quirky seaside town steeped in history, with a range of amenities and seaside attractions, along with opportunity to take boat trips. A variety of days out beckon from these two charming Dinas Cross cottages, meaning you can enjoy all that Pembrokeshire has to offer, including the coastal and country scenery, the historic castles, the stunning sandy beaches and much, much more.

The property

This charming ground floor wing at the rear of the owner’s home has its own private entrance through patio doors, into a light sitting room, where you can rest and relax together after a great day out.

You’ll also find a well-equipped kitchen with dining area, perfect for preparing special meals or packing picnics before you set out to explore this beautiful part of Wales.

Completing the accommodation is a large bedroom and a shower room.

The pretty patio is totally private and the owner’s gardening skills make sure this is a delightful area to sit out and enjoy a morning coffee, or an alfresco evening meal.

Pwll Gwaelod and Cwm-Yr-Eglwys beaches are both minutes away, both with breathtaking scenery offering the opportunity for tranquil days in perfect settings, and are almost unnoticed by the general public unless they leave the main route through the village. Nearby Newport is a quirky seaside town steeped in history, with various shops, tea rooms and pubs and is also a great place to go boating. With castles, mills, craft centres and golf courses galore scattered all over this beautiful Welsh county, this is the perfect base for a break all year round.
