The location of this property is ideal for anyone who likes to walk and/or cycle. A few minutes down the A470 and you have the Cyfarthfa retail park for the shoppers and for those who like a bit of history there is Cyfarthfa Castle, that one of the notorious iron masters built, and lived in. The Brecon Beacon national park is a few minutes ride in the opposite direction. And then there's the Dan- yr- Ogof caves. Try a visit to the Rhigos mountain, on a clear day it commands a wide vista across the valley to the Brecon ranges (there's a refreshment van) I live six miles from this property. Its a little haven just to get away for a few days and relax with family members from London. We love it. The view from the sitting room is wonderful. If you leave the curtains drawn the early morning view ( this time of year) is both atmospheric and beautiful as the sun starts to rise. The mountain ranges, to the right, seem to go on forever, that view and the silence is truly magical and so very relaxing. But as always a good start to any holiday is the welcome you get on arrival, and here at Swn - y - Gwynt you'll certainly have that 'Welcome In the Hillside.'
