“Quite exceptional!”
We had a very nice welcome from the family to Ty Glas and nothing was too much trouble. A jug of milk and some Welsh cakes were also put in for us. Just about every little detail was thought of in this cottage - salt, pepper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, iron, ironing board, clothes airer, to name but a few. It was an exceptionally clean modern cottage, with a little garden at the front which had seating and an umbrella, so that you could admire the views. There was also a large shared green space (too big to call it a garden!) where children could let off steam, plus a small games room, with table tennis and various other items in (even buckets and spades for the beach).
The kitchen/lounge/dining room had a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, gas cooker and microwave. There was a table and chairs for two, a very low uncomfortable 3 seater settee and a small TV/video player on the wall (some dvds were provided). The bedroom had plenty of hanging space and drawers plus a firm king size bed. From this room was a locked door that lead to the adjoining 2 bed cottage which could be opened for larger parties . The bathroom was nicely done with an excellent shower, but unfortunately had a sliding door and as this was in the bedroom and didn't close tightly it didn't give much privacy, particularly for those of us who have to get up in the night!
The property was set at the rear of the owners house in the very quiet village of Cold Blow, but only a 5 min drive to Narberth and 20 min drive to Tenby.
