  • “Westwinds is an absolutely fantastic property: private, and all amenities have been catered for.”

    Would definitely recommend.

Would definitely recommend. Good field at top of the hill for dog walking, and short drive to Tenby town and beaches. We definitely hope to revisit this beautiful part of the world.

The property

Resting in the seaside harbour town of Tenby, is this stylish detached cottage, Westwinds.

Sleeping eight guests, with partial ground-floor living and wonderful sea views, Westwinds is a magnificent base for exploring Pembrokeshire National Park.

Drive up the private driveway with room to park 2-3 cars, additional private parking is also available in front of the property. Enter the property to be greeted by the spacious hallway.

Head to the sitting room where a large bay window makes it a bright and airy space to relax, as you pick your spot on the corner sofa and settle down in front of the television.

Take advantage of the kitchen which has a helpful dishwasher as well as a contemporary feel as you cook up a storm for your loved ones to dig into in the adjoining dining room which can seat all guests, also making it a great space to enjoy a competitive game of cards.

Continuing to impress with two ground-floor bedrooms, both with a television; a twin which offers flexible sleeping arrangements for when the evening draws to a close, and a double which is complimented with an en-suite bathroom allowing guests privacy to get ready in style.

Moving through the property, there is also a shower room to wash those sandy feet.

To complete the ground floor, there is a separate cloakroom with WC so guests will rarely have to wait, and a small utility with a washing machine so you can keep yourselves feeling as fresh as the ocean air.

Climbing up the stairs, there is a spacious landing with a sofa and a TV, with a PlayStation so guests can use this as a snug space if you can't all agree on something to watch downstairs.

There is a double bedroom with a television, a stylish dressing table so you can get ready for an evening out, and admirable sea views, there is also another twin bedroom with a light grey theme, storage and a television for when the night draws to a close.

To finish the interior of this splendid property, there is a further bathroom where guests can enjoy a long soak in the bath or a quick rinse in the shower.

To the rear there is a multi-level lawn garden, with steps up to a dining area, so guests can indulge in a spot of alfresco dining or enjoy a bottle of wine as the sun goes down, while four-legged friends are happily playing.

Take a short walk into the centre of Tenby, which is packed with shops, bars and eateries so grab some essentials to enjoy self-catering, or enjoy an evening out within the medieval walls and cobbled streets.

Tenby is also home to miles of Blue Flag golden beaches, as well as Castle Beach which has views of St Catherine's Island, and the historic Tenby Castle which you can explore, offering views of the town and beach from the headland.

Situated in a picturesque part of the Pembrokeshire National Park, you can discover coastal paths by bike or foot and a variety of watersports nearby, as well as being able to marvel at seals and puffins whilst you enjoy a boat trip to Caldey Island.

Also in the area is the Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo which is great for kids, the Oakwood Theme Park for those thrill seekers, and the 11th century castle at Manobier for those who can't get enough of history.

About the location

TENBY

Pembroke 11 miles; Carmarthen 26 miles.

The bustling seaside resort of Tenby, known within Wales as “The Jewel in the Crown", is majestically positioned on the spectacularly beautiful 'Welsh Riviera'. Tenby is part of the stunning 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast National Park where the water is warmed by the Gulf Stream and the county is one of the sunniest places in the UK. Enclosed by medieval walls, this beautiful town features a maze of cobbled streets, hosting an array of quirky shops, indoor locally-sourced food market, tea rooms and tempting restaurants. Almost three miles of stunning, Blue Flag-awarded beaches provide a variety of watersports, whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy the local flora and fauna on the coastal paths, something the competitors of the world-renowned Tenby Iron-Man contest (held in mid-September) haven’t time for! A boat trip to Caldey Island is recommended to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the monastery and island scenery, and you can enjoy seal and puffin sightings en-route! Explore the magnificent Tudor Merchant's House, or visit the nearby resorts of Saundersfoot or Manobier. For teens and younger visitors, Oakwood Theme Park provides a brilliant, fun-filled day out whilst Folly Farm offers everything from old-fashioned fairground rides to animals both local and exotic!
