“Paul the owner was very hospitable, anything we needed he was on hand.”

The cottage is set in a beautiful part of the Welsh countryside, local pubs served good food but if you just fancy nights in watching a real log fire then this is the perfect idyllic cottage.

Nestled on the outskirts of Tregare, near the bustling little village of Raglan, is this delightful stone cottage.

Ty'r Pwll is a stylish holiday home for friends and families alike, with plenty of period features such as the original wooden walls, wooden inglenook fireplace and lovely exposed beams, giving the property a wealth of character and a wonderful rural atmosphere.

The sitting room offers a welcoming space to relax and unwind of an evening, catching up on your favourite shows, with the open fire to keep you warm during those chilly winter months.

The kitchen has seating for four and makes for a wonderful social space to dine together as a family or catch up on the day's events and has been amply equipped with all the appliances you could need for a relaxing holiday break.

Upstairs, you will find two spacious bedrooms; one king-size and one family room with a king-size and two single beds - so no matter your group type, there is something to suit you.

The family bathroom has a bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

To the rear of the cottage is a large lawned garden, with pathways for exploring the grounds, and a convenient patio area with furniture to sit out and enjoy the wonderful countryside views with a refreshing beverage.

While you're in the area, why not venture into the Wye Valley AONB, with a plethora of historical attractions nearby.

Chepstow Castle boasting plenty of history inside, being the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain.

Wye Valley also offers a wide-range of museums and art galleries for a look into the local history, with some fabulous displays.

Let's not forget the large range of pathways for country or woodland walks, cycling, or plenty of lakes for fishing and canoeing.
