Fern And Willow Lodge

These charming properties enjoy a rural position, on the outskirts of the pretty village of St Florence, in Wales, near the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The dining area is perfect for those family gatherings over a well-deserved glass of wine, also ideal for planning the day's events over a hearty breakfast. Retire to any one of the two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double and twin, both providing plush beds and a range of contemporary furniture to store your personal items. Delight in the deluxe family shower room where you can enjoy a relaxing shower after a tiring day. Outside has a lovely enclosed garden, with a private decking area to relax and enjoy a refreshing cup of tea in the morning and catch up on some reading. You are well-positioned for accessing many of Pembrokeshire's finest sites, including the wonderful Manor Wildlife Park, a 52-acre zoo where your little ones will delight in spotting the exotic animals such as the tigers and zebras, with a children's play area so there will be something to keep them entertained for the entire afternoon! Discover the Heatherton World of Activities, offering indoor and outdoor fun, with plenty of sporty activities to get involved with, including paintballing, fishing, archery, golf and even go karting! Your little ones won't be able to get enough of all these child-friendly attractions, but one of Pembrokeshire's must-sees is the wonderful Dinosaur Park, with an adventure playground and an indoor soft play area for the younger children. You are within reach of the beautiful small tidal island of St Catherine's Island, spanning across 22,000-acres and is the perfect spot for adult groups to explore this bioarchaeological site. Travel into the seaside town of Tenby for a plethora of other tourist attractions, including the 16th century Tudor Merchant's House, the historic Tenby Castle and the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, not forgetting an array of beautiful white sandy beaches. A picturesque little village close to Tenby, St. Florence is an awarding-winning village in the heart of Pembrokeshire and plays host to a village shop and two pubs serving good food. There is a garden centre with a cafe and wonderful countryside walks. Just outside the village you will find the Manor House Wildlife Park, as seen on TV as the Welsh Zoo and owned and run by Anna Ryder Richardson. Across the road from the zoo is Heatherton Park with its 18 hole golf course. Try some karting or even "walk on water" in the parks giant zorb balls! With the superb Pembrokeshire coastline less than five miles away, St. Florence is the perfect base for exploring the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. Stroll along the quiet, unspoilt beaches of Broad Haven and Barafundle, the pretty beach of Manorbier is less than three miles away. Walk around the beautiful Bosherston lily ponds or discover the incredible St. Govan’s chapel, built into the side of a limestone cliff. Explore the many historic castles peppered across Pembrokeshire or spend lazy afternoons strolling through countryside lanes, lined with flower filled hedgerows, to the sound of wild birds twittering overheard. A superb base for exploring West Wales, all year round.
