The property

Situated in the hamlet of Cwm Plysgog in the secluded countryside of Cilgerran, Wales, is this wonderful former miner's cottage, which can be accessed via a bridge over a lovely stream.

Brynglas epitomises what a Welsh country cottage should be, with three spacious bedrooms set over two floors boasting stunning, original stone walls and a cosy woodburning stove.

Entering the property, you are greeted to the open-plan living space, with two russet-coloured, leather sofas, situated around the Smart TV.

Here, you can relax and unwind after a long day sightseeing, with the fire to keep your feet warm.

Step into the dining area with seating for up to six people around a stunning wooden table, the perfect spot for dining together as a family.

Fitted on an attractive slate flooring, is this wonderfully modern kitchen, with its wooden units and sleek worktops, with all the appliances you could need for a stay in the countryside.

To the side of the kitchen is a ground floor king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, ideal for those with limited mobility.

Upstairs are a further two bedrooms: one king-size and one single.

All bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard with your comfort in mind, including the beds, which ensure a restful night's sleep.

Outside, you will find an enclosed courtyard area, the perfect spot to sit out with a glass of wine and enjoy the afternoon sun.

With Poppit Sands beach only 5.7 miles away, you won't want to miss a fun-filled day with the family.

Bring a picnic and stretch out on your beach towels, or dine in the nearby cafe and soak up the sun or take a swim in the water.

The beautiful Welsh Wildlife Centre with it's network of trails and boardwalk along the River Teifi is within walking or cycling distance of the cottage via the old railway line or a number of footpaths straight from the cottage.

It's open every day except at Christmas and serves home delicious home cooked food and snacks.

Canoes can also be hired from the Wildlife Centre for trips down the river Teifi.

Brynglas is ideal for a couple or small family to enjoy the village and explore the local area.

Cilgerran is a delightful village with three pubs and a village store near to the popular market town of Cardigan. Situated above the Teifi Gorge, there are walks down to the river and the two castles; the National Trust’s Cilgerran Castle and the romantic ruins of the 13th century castle. Within walking distance are The Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi March Nature Reserve, providing fabulous trails along the stunning River Teifi and the chance to explore a rich variety of habitats and enjoy relaxing by the river. Nearby is the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Preselli Hills and the stunning coastline of Cardigan Bay.
