“This is a lovely apartment and Margaret the host was also lovely, but it just felt pretty cluttered and perhaps not as clean as it could have been.”

When we first arrived, at first glance it did look clean but later on we did notice certain things. For example, there was a build up of mould on the seal at the bottom of the shower screen, which was all brown. I know this does happen with shower screens over baths, but these can be replaced. It just looked dirty and not very nice. The next thing was that the water from the shower splashed over the edge of the bath onto the floor. I therefore got some wipes I had taken and went to wipe it up ...

I therefore got some wipes I had taken and went to wipe it up. To my disappointment the wipe was fithy black with dirt, and it wasn't dirt from us as it was our first night of arrival. Also, when switching on one of the lights in the lounge I had to go behind the sofa, which was up against the wall. I noticed that it was full of dust behind there. It obviously had not been moved out and cleaned behind. The beds were not particularly comfortable, I even tried one of the single beds but that was just as bad as the double. We took our own pillows and pillow protectors as suggested by Sykes and just used the pillow cases on the pillows on the beds. However, removing one of the pillow cases from the owners pillow, we found a big brown stain on the pillow protector. It didn't look very nice and I'm glad we weren't sleeping on it. Apart from that things were pretty much fine. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of procecco left, along with the biscuits and milk. We were lucky and had fabulous weather. Enjoyed the National Welsh Gardens as recommended by Richard in the neighbouring apartment. Great area, lots of things to see and do. The Gower pinnisula was beautiful!
