  • "What a lovely place to spend our honeymoon."

Beautiful location, lovely peaceful site and we absolutely loved the pod!

  • "While Heron is a good place to stay as a base to explore the area, the listing on Sykes' website is not accurate: there is no oven, but an air fryer (I have never used one)."

The hob was just 2 gas rings (similar to a camping stove). The fridge is a mini fridge and was not even turned on when we arrived. The listing states "wi-fi" but this only works if you sit outside the property. The television only works if it is not raining (rained for 2 days during our stay when we wanted to watch tv in the evening) and then does not have any BBC channels. Being seasoned campers we adapted during our week's stay but would have been better prepared if the listing had been accurate.

Hi Gillian, Thanks for your feedback. Sykes are responsible for the listing and I will pass on your comments / concerns to them. Apologies for the fridge being turned off it was because it had just been defrosted and an oversight on my part. Likewise TV should have been removed from the listing because the signal is unreliable. Gawain Property Owner
