The cottage was lovely and spacious and well presented - the drive into the property was a bit precarious but we managed: some instruction books would help for the appliances and the only thing "missing" was a hair dryer for her indoors ( as they seem to be a norm in most properties these days) plenty of local walks and places of interest within a short distance- thank you for a enjoyable time

Thankyou for your feedback. I shall buy a hairdryer tomorrow, thankyou for making me aware of this. I'm really glad you enjoyed. Take care Property Owner

It was well situated for Mountain Biking and had a place to store our bikes, outside tap, a laundry room for cleaning and storing our gear. If we had more time and warmer weather we would have made more use of the outdoor spaces that were beautiful. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend.

  • "The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped and Emma is a great host - really friendly and helpful."

The welcome box of locally sourced produce is a lovely and thoughtful touch. We loved the Welsh cakes so much we bought up most of stock from the local shop to take home as gifts and to enjoy as a reminder of our visit! Our daughter and boyfriend liked having the independence of being in the exterior summerhouse and enjoying the Lazy spa in the evening. There are some great attractions easily reached from the property. We visited The Gower Peninsula a couple of times as well as Penllergare Valley Woods, the four waterfalls walk and Carreg Cennan Castle - all this during a week of sunshine. All in all a lovely relaxing week at Penlanfach cottage.

Thankyou so much and it was so lovely to meet you all. Take care and hope to see you again. Property Owner

The property is very well equipped and has everything you might need. The outdoor spaces are what makes this property special and set it apart from other places where we have stayed before. The ability to store our bikes in the secure shed was a real bonus too. The icing on the cake was the log fire which we used every evening. Warming your feet in front of a real fire after a day of October cycling was fantastic. Highly recommended.

The welcome hamper was such a lovely touch, filled with locally produced food. We even ordered from the local dairy as a result and they were a pleasure to order from, very friendly. My elder daughter had use of the summer house. She loved spending her time in there. We were very lucky with the weather and we were able to make use of the fire pit and barbecue. We had such a wonderful holiday there, so much so my younger one wanted to stay forever! I can honestly say it was the best break we have had in years. Emma and her husband are so helpful and we have all said we would love to stay again.

Slept like a log in the very comfortable bed. Such Excellent facilities...everything you could possibly need. Emma, the lovely owner, was extremely helpful even from before our holiday enquiring as to whether we had any dietary needs for the welcome pack. How amazing was that Also! Also welcoming us shortly after we arrived to make everything was ok and if we needed anything to let her know. We couldn't have wished for a more peaceful place to stay for our holiday. Within easy reach by car to the stunning beaches and in the other direction into the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Wish we could have stayed another week as so much we still wanted to do. Really hope to visit Wales again and stay in Penlanfach. Cherished memories of a fabulous holiday. Thank you!

  • "This was a fantastic place to call our home for 3 days during our recent short break in Wales."

The property was immaculately clean upon arrival, very well stocked, and in a convenient location away from hustle and bustle but with Tenby, Gower and Breacon Beacons within an hour drive. The host, Emma, was ever so kind and attentive, she came to greet us shortly after our arrival, was perfectly polite and respectful of our privacy, gave us some useful tips on local places to visit, and it was great to know that should we need anything, she was down the road. We eat, slept, and rested very well indeed in the cottage, enjoying it's little garden and patio areas, cozy living room, and very comfortable bedroom ensuite. We'd definitely recommend this, and would love to return :-)
