  • "Property very clean and tidy."

Central Pembroke so some road noise but only expected. Parking suitable for a city car but anything bigger is a problem. Spaces very tight and can cause problems. Owners very helpful with lots of information re the property and local information.

  • "Lovely apartment over looking The Mill Pond in Pembroke."

Nicely furnished, but we found the bedrooms very cramped for space. In our double bedroom, only half of what looked like a huge wardrobe would open. The beds, though very new, weren’t very comfortable, but the biggest problem was the very busy road running alongside the apartment. The secondary glazing cut out most noise, but when the bedroom got too warm and the window was opened the traffic noise was extreme.

The beds and mattresses were fairly expensive and good quality from John Lewis and other guests have said they were very comfortable. The apartment is in central Pembroke but is triple glazed, with limited noise audiable unless windows are open. We cannot do much to increase the size of the property but at sub £25 per person, per night in the summer holidays and half that out of season we feel it's priced very fairly. Property Owner

  • "Just finished a lovely week in Cornstore Cottage, the cottage/ flat was clean, cosy and comfortable."

The location was great with lovely views of the castle, the cottage is near the busy road but with the windows closed the noise was kept out. The hosts sent clear and comprehensive information ahead of the visit. The undercover parking spot was tight but we managed to get our SUV in with care. Would definitely recommend.

It is close, but not on a busy road, however triple glazing keeps the traffic noise out. We enjoyed a fabulous week here and would have no hesitation to recommend it.

A little noisy with traffic, but the bonus is that everything is within easy walking distance and you can see the castle and the water from the lounge window. Hosts mades sure everything ran smoothly and I appreciated having a mobile number for any issues (there weren't any). We had a great week away.

Its in a great location to walk around the millpond to pubs, shops and cafe's of Pembroke, but also to explore the beautiful scenery of the Pembrokeshire National Park (we loved Bosherton, The Green Bridge, St Govans, Barafundle Bay and Stackpole Quay, plus day trips to St Davids, Colby Gardens and Tenby. We especially liked being able to walk to the Cornstore Cafe for breakfast and afternoon tea, had takeaways from the chinese and fish & chip shops nearby. • "Cornstore Cottage is a very comfortable and beautifully furnished property with a lovely view of Pembroke castle."

It has a well equipped modern kitchen and is a very short walk to local shops etc. The covered car park to the rear of the property has a designated spot which should be fine for all but the largest vehicles. For those interested in history Pembroke castle is well worth a visit. The Cornstore Cafe literally a stones throw away is a cosy place for coffee and cake and light lunches and on a sunny day it’s tables by the river are a super place to relax. Pembroke itself was small but has everything you may need and the larger supermarkets are a few minutes by car. The nearby beaches are absolutely stunning and not to be missed and for those interested in wildlife a trip to Skomer Island is a memorable experience. The owners Ben and Sarah kept us well informed of changeover details etc and were super hosts.

Everything worked well, from the initial contact with Ben and Sarah, the much appreciated welcome pack, and the text as we left to check that everything was ok. The apartment was clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The secondary double glazing kept the place warm and stopped most of the traffic noise from the nearby busy road. Parking in the allocated space was a little tight, but other than that everything was perfect for us.

Large wall mounted TV with range of services. The NISA mini-supermarket three minutes up the road is well-stocked and has a good fish and chip shop. Close to bus stops and 15 minutes’ walk torailway station. The little Coastal Cruiser buses and the stopping train to Swansea give access to various points on the Coastal Path, so that you can start at one point and get the bus back from another. Car not required. Some great walks - Saundersfoot to Tenby (railway stations), Freshwater West to Angle (buses), and Bosherton to Stackpole Quay (buses) coastal walks are great. The Bosherton Lily ponds can be included in the walk to Stackpole. We enjoyed the Pembroke Castle guided tour.

I have an mobility issue but found the over the shower bath very good with the help of a suction handle which I take away with me. (Perhaps provide one) A couple of good pubs in walking distance, and the church on the high street for coffee the ladies are lovely and full of local knowledge and the history of Pembroke . Also basic Cleaning stuff too. A really nice touch. My children 10 and 13 loved the brand new game provided by Ben and Sarah - Monolopy for Sore Losers, again a nice touch. The property has everything you need if you wanted to cook here, or there are plenty of takeaways and pubs for great food. This is a beautiful property, with its own parking under cover. Ben contacted me direct to ask if we needed anything on arrival and let him know we had arrived safely. A fantastic place to explore beautiful Pembrokeshire. • "We have just returned from a lovely week at Castle View."

We enjoyed visiting the stunning beaches in this area, including Tenby, Freshwater West and Pendine Sands, the castles in Pembroke and Manorbier, and St David's Cathedral. I have not been to Pembrokeshire before - I was inspired to come after watching Michael Portillo's Great Coastal Railway Journeys, and it was well worth it. Castle View is a modern apartment, with, as its name suggests, a view of the castle from the lounge window. The apartment is set up with good quality furnishings and lots of kitchen equipment, clean and nicely decorated, good wifi and a booklet with information for guests. The only slight drawbacks are that the flat is just off the main road through the town, so there is some traffic noise when the windows are open, but it was quiet at night, and the parking space is on the narrow side. But these are only minor niggles and we would be very happy to stay here again. Ben the host was very helpful when I had to text him over a minor issue (couldn't find the mains switch for the washing machine) and when we left my daughter's toy behind, he posted it to us the same day. Thank you, Ben and Sarah, for a lovely week.

Owner was easy to get hold of and helpful. He also facilated early access to apartment for us. The treats upon arrival was a lovely touch and appreciated. Apartment is in a good location. Hard to sleep at night in hot weather if u leave windows open as early morning traffic very noisy. The kickboard in the kitchen kept falling down on our feet so we left it down. We had great difficulty removing the plug from the bath to release water after a shower. We gave feed back to owner.

We ask all guests to contact us if they experience any issue, as being local we can often address most things the same day. However we didn’t receive any feedback in respect of these issues prior to now, the bath plug is fully working and is remotely operated via twisting the bath overflow and we will look at the plinth. The flat is in central town which is a bit noisier but it’s double glazed with secondary glazing to ensure that despite this it’s a peaceful place to stay, although with windows open you would hear some traffic. It was modern, spotlessly clean, newly-refurbished, with all amenities in good working order. It was not easy to locate, e.g. the car park space was in the cul-de-sac below, with the numbering in random order, which was not the owners' fault. They were easily contactable by telephone and text, and we're very polite and friendly. A welcome pack of tea, milk, Welsh cakes and biscuits were provided, which was appreciated.

The pre-arrival instructions were very clear and detailed, and on arrival the property was immaculate, clean and well equipped. The car parking space was essential and although a bit tight (next to a column) our Astra fitted fine. It's proximity to pubs and eateries was a huge bonus, and we had two excellent meals at the closest place, The Watermans Arms.

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your comments, The car park space is a standard size single and our Volvo V90 Estate just fits, but anything wider than that might struggle. There is a large public car park in Pembroke which costs £25 for a week if anybody has a very large car / camper or wishes to bring a second car on holiday with them. Property Owner
