  • "We had a fabulous week at Ty Castell."

The house was immaculate, super clean and really well equipped. We like to cook and the kitchen had everything we wanted. Comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. One tiny thing, a mirror in the twin bedroom would have been good. Such a beautiful setting, and so handy for the town. We would definitely stay again and I have recommended it to friends.

I was attracted to the property because of the Castle and Millpond views. However, I'd stay there again just for the house. It was extremely clean, comfortable, warm, well appointed and well maintained. Caring owners left Welcome goodies and were in contact to make sure I had everything I needed. Its close proximity to Pemboke, and it's Castle, is a bonus not to be missed.

Seen comments about a TV at the end of the bed...my husband would agree but personally I would prefer a mirror (in the double room) so I could sit and do my hair. Plenty of options to eat and drink in Pembroke. We really enjoyed fish and chips from Rowlies, a great meal in the Old Kings Arms and a fab breakfast at the the Cornstore. Booked it mainly for the view as with Wales at Easter we could have had it rain hard every day so wanted somewhere different from home which a castle definately was! Not too many homes opposite castles. We even had some days where sun lotion was required on the patio. Patio was perfect as its protected from the wind quite well. THough it was only 12 degrees it felt about 18/19. I bet in the even better weather itll be a sunspot. House was very well equipped and now i want a Samsung Frame tv too! Not sure it mentioned it was that in the listing but was very good to stream when the weather was bad on the 2 days and we hunkered down. THe pub over the road was actually v good food, though the singing from the locals wasnt pitch perfect lol. Chip shop around the corner on the High Street was excellent too. Easy to find, parking for 2 and the neighbours were quiet. An enviable spot! I know some prior comments mentioned beds not comfy but thats always subjective, we found the master bedroom bed to be spot on. Owner Ben was easy to get in touch with and kept us informed of when the house was available early so likewise we left early and let them know. Neil and Sarah

Pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay despite bad weather, agreed its still lovely to sit in the lounge and enjoy the stunning views even when its raining and the terrace overlooking the boating pond and castle is a great place to relax on a sunny day. We are pleased to hear you found the bed 'spot on', we've just done a double check of all reviews received and there have only ever been positive comments about the comfort of all beds - including a couple of guests who advised they slept so well that they'd decided to order the same for their homes. • "An absolutely fantastic week spent at Ty Castell."

The house is immaculate, very clean, very comfortable and impressively well equipped. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the cutlery, utensils, crockery and gizmos that you could need for a week away. The living room is very comfortable, with a good quality smart TV disguised as a painting (it took me a few minutes to realise where it was!). The bedrooms are also very comfortable, memory foam mattresses on the beds which gave a really good night's sleep. I normally don't sleep well on holiday, but I slept like a baby here. The bathrooms are just what you need, with a posh bath & even a shaver point in the main bathroom; I've never stayed anywhere with a shaver point before, I usually have to rig up adaptors to charge the toothbrush. The house is in a very quiet, peaceful cul-de-sac, with 2 parking spaces to the front. Pembroke Town itself is a few minutes walk away, so the house couldn't really be any better positioned. And finally, the view! Oh dear lord the view! Waking up each morning to Pembroke Castle looming over the mill pond is simply epic. I'd find it very hard to get bored with that view. If we're ever in this neck of the woods again, Ty Castell will 100% be our first choice accommodation.

  • "Lovely, modern spacious townhouse."

Clean and well equipped. Perfectly located. Great uninterrupted views of the castle from each floor. Everything we needed for a perfectly relaxing no driving week away (had we chosen to do this). Parking was right outside. Pubs and cafes within 3 minute walk. Coop within 15 minute walk. We found, even out of season, a great selection of cafes, pubs and places doing food in the day time and evening (although Sundays and Mondays less were open). We particularly enjoyed The Hope Inn at the other end of the town near the Coop, which offered free cinema days and the best beer (ale) we found. We chose to join the castle for annual membership. The castle cafe was great with lots of choice and very child friendly. This also meant we could return to the castle several times to hear the different guides tour talks (as different guides give different talks). Sadly we missed the Paddle Board opportunities as we arrived just before the season started. The town trail was an interesting walk starting at the town hall, which also has a free museum. Tuesday and Wednesday the Town Hall hosts a craft market and a craft/food market. The town also had other shopping opportunities. The Chic Boutique was fabulous. The town's people were really welcoming and friendly too. We didn't meet the accommodation's hosts, however they were very professional in dealing with the booking and further communications. It was a great stay.

We had a very enjoyable stay and the house was spotless. Amenities were very good. It would have been good to have had a TV in the bedroom....we used the main double at the top. The sofa in lounge was comfy but from a personal view was too low for me as I had difficulty getting up off it due to disabilities. We also missed usb ports in the electric sockets so feel this would be a very useful addition. Thankyou for a lovely stay, would highly recommend

Thank you for your positive review. We plan to add a second television in the bedroom during the off season and just added an extra sofa in the kitchen diner to add more choice. Will need to investigate USB ports further, its our intention to hopefully add EV charging for next season subject to surveys and approvals etc. Property Owner

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pembroke and Ty Castell to anybody.
