  • "A beautiful peaceful location with spectacular views and sunsets."

The house was wonderful and well equipped to meet the needs of our partty of 12 whose ages ranged between 4 and 86. Plenty to do in the area loads of places to visits within a 20 minute drive from the location. The children enjoyed playing in the secure garden. The owner was very attentive and helpful before and during our stay. We would highly recommend.

Kitchen utensils were many for all dishes we cooked. House lovely and warm, we didn’t need to light the fire. Cleanliness of the house was superb. Beds were all comfortable. We would all be recommending this house to family and friends.. ideal spot to an up and coming adventure park which will accommodate all ages ..

  • "We had a lovely stay in Dryslwyn."

The house is ideally placed next to the reservoir and a stones throw from the childrens play park, which our small children enjoyed a lot. If we were to go again we would take mountain bikes too so to save the rental cost as there is a great route around the reservoir for riders of all ages - we went around with a 6 and 11 year old with no issues, but there were tougher routes for older 'kids'! The house was well equipped - the kitchen has a much better utensil / crockery / pan & tray selection than most holiday rentals, allowing actual cooking to occur for a large group (10 + 2 dogs!) The utility room was very handy for sorting out the dogs and also sorting the vast array of wet clothes and boots - we did not have the best weather. If there was one thing we would improve, it would be the lighting in the garage, it was very dim if you wanted to play table tennis in the evening! Overall - great house and location - 20 minutes to Oakwood, 30 - 40 minutes to St Davids / Tenby. Very central

  • "Dryslwyn is an absolutely beautiful property located right next to the reservoir."

The pictures do not do the property justice at all! We booked on a whim as we go away every year as a group.of twelve and like that there is no sharing of bedrooms, great for 5 couples and two singles and other combinations to suite. Everything has been carefully thought out from the key safe (lovely to be left to get on with things!), to the instructions on how to use the various appliances and sort the recycling. The kitchen is very well appointed for 12 and we never felt squashed! Plenty of nice quality crockery, cookware and utensils and all spotlessly cleaned. We loved spending time walking around the reservoir and out kayaking, on SUPs and new peddle boards (loads of fun). We rented bikes and took day trips to Narbeth and Little Haven, all within a short drive. Haverfordwest is very near for groceries, yet the cottage/house feels secluded without being eerily so! There's a few neighbours in the village, some of which seemed like rentals too. Being detached we were able to sing karaoke without disturbing them too! There is no WiFi yet (pending), but the 4g signal was great, enough for us to karaoke and video call with tethering easily - so didn't put us off. We will definitely be back :)

  • "Dryslwyn - wow, what an amazing place!"

We loved everything about this property and it exceeded our expectations all round. Everything you need as a large party/family is catered for...and then some! We soon got used to the property's layout, which was perfect for us as an elderly member of our family had a lovely ensuite bedroom on the same level as the front door/entrance. As this level also has the huge kitchen/dining area and main living room on it, she didn't have to negotiate any stairs for the duration. We couldn't have asked for more with regard to us feeling welcome and entirely comfortable...and this goes for our dogs too. From the fully enclosed garden areas to the provision of stair gates, water bowls, a fantastic area in the utility room to feed them and a handy outside hose for mucky paws - Dryslwyn caters wonderfully for dogs, which really helps make for a relaxing stay. The lack of wi-fi at the property really isn't an issue either and we had good 4G signal (Vodafone) throughout the property. As well as getting all of the key things right, we were really impressed with the owners' care and attention to detail. It can be disorientating arriving at a new property - but the information provided was fantastic. How do you operate these 2 lovely ovens? Just look at the simple, one sheet laminated instructions left right next to them! Last but not least we loved the location of Dryslwyn. Being a bit more 'remote' than the holiday cottages we usually book in this area, the drive time to our favourite beaches was slightly longer. But this is way more than compensated for by having the lovely Llys-y-Fran reservoir literally on your doorstep! Stunning views, lovely walks and an afternoon coffee at the visitor centre - what more could you ask for! We are all very much looking forward to staying at Dryslwyn again very soon!

  • "We've just returned from spending Easter weekend at Dryslwyn and we had a super time."

Everyone had plenty of space and our every need was catered for. Although the reservoir was closed we were still able to go for walks and would love to return to try the paddle boarding and bike trails. There were lots of extras for us to use such as fruit, homemade bara brith, cooking oil, tea and coffee and milk. The kitchen is fabulous and made cooking for 9 people easy. The enclosed garden was great for the dog and we were able to have an Easter egg hunt in the lovely sunshine. It was lovely to finally get away as a family for the first time in over a year and this was a great place which we all enjoyed and would love to return to.
