  • "Lovely property - excellent area."

Visited during a heatwave and the property was well ventilated with a hot tub as an added bonus. Location of this property is excellent with several beaches only 10 minutes away - would highly recommend this area and this propriety was in a lovely quiet location yet minutes away from all the facilities you might need in Haverfordwest.

  • "The house was gorgeous and the location was great, with easy access to a number of beaches."

Only flaw I would say is that considering the size of the kitchen, the fridge/freezer is tiny! The owners are super attentive and were happy to help with everything.

  • "We had a lovely time at mill barn, Penny and Peter were so kind and helpful, definitely somewhere we would go again!"

The place was clean and tidy when we arrived and hot tub ready for us after a long journey. The town was close to get anything we needed and still far enough away to feel secluded. Beaches were all driving distance but only short journeys with plenty of places to eat. My only suggestion would be a few additional kitchen bits like cooking oil and cleaning spray for the sides but everything else was easy to find. Thank you for a incredible stay and for the welcome basket, this was a really nice touch!

  • "Great cottage."

Spacious and very comfortable. Lovely welcome hamper, even treats for the dogs. Owners were at the end of the garden and always keen to help. Amazing jacuzzi! Big kitchen( though dome instruction on how to use the posh job would have helped.) great area for walking, seclusion and getting away from it all but with Haverfordwest near with all the supermarkets etc. Pub nearby was friendly with a range of good pub grub ( The Masons, 10 min walk). Seal watching is amazing at Martin’s Haven , thanks for the tip to Peter the owner.

  • "This was the first time that we had used Sykes Holidays."

Everything went as planned and the property was as detailed on website. It was very clean and everything catered for - down to a small fridge in the bedroom! The owners welcomed us on the day, but were not intrusive at all although happy to give recommendations if asked. We had booked and paid for our stay prior to a hot tub being installed in the garden and did not use it during our stay so cannot comment on this. The area was lovely to explore and if you book this property you wont be disappointed on its location. However, would advise researching the area for restaurants and book at least a couple of places prior to arrival as we had alot of trouble finding nice places to eat!

The cottage is down a quiet treelined country road. Some of the best beaches in the UK near by. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend if you want a peaceful retreat in a beautiful location.

  • "The cottage was well presented."

It was very clean and the furniture and little things like the ornaments gave it a real cottage feel. The spacious bedroom was relaxing with a huge, comfortable bed. The location was lovely in a very quiet spot, yet a very short drive from local amenities and local attractions were easily accessed.

  • "Perfect cottage for 2 with large comfortable bed and a very pleasant outside area for dining."

We ate breakfast outside most mornings overlooking the stream. Great location for exploring this beautiful part of the UK. Only slight gripe was the poorly equipped kitchen. That said, owners were delightful and very quick to provide a cafetière on request. Never used dishwasher as only 4 plates, mugs etc which were in continuous use. This didn’t spoil what was a lovely week. We would definitely return if visiting area again.

The cottage itself was extremely clean and had everything you could need....lovely idea with the hamper, but tea, coffee, sugar would have been a nice touch, also perhaps a few basics such as ketchup, vinegar etc. Hosts were lovely and sorted problems immediately....would recommend highly. It was clean, comfortable and the shower was amazing. The garden was a sun trap and it was relaxing listening to the stream at the bottom of the garden. There are plenty of places to visit locally and the nearest pub is friendly and serve good food (also dog friendly). Hoping to return next year. Would definitely recommend

The property

Originally the miller's barn, this holiday cottage is a perfect combination of modern comfort and traditional qualities.

A decked area with a Hot Tub, overlooks the mill brook and is the perfect place to start or end the day. The barn is set down a quiet country lane yet is just a mile and a half from Haverfordwest, the county town of Pembrokeshire.

Half a mile up the road is The Mason’s pub, offering great food and a warm welcome. The nearby beaches of Newgale, Broad Haven and Little Haven, Marloes and Dale are within easy reach, as are the towns of Pembroke and Milford Haven and Britain’s smallest city, St David’s. Also just a short journey away and well worth a day trip, are the bird islands of Skomer and Skokholm, where puffins and shearwaters can be seen in the breeding season.
