  • "We all enjoyed our holiday here even with less than perfect weather."

We used the hot tub more than I expected and the children absolutely adored it. The juke box was also a hit with all. The house was nice and warm with plenty of hot water. It is a lovely part of the country which we always come back to. Beautiful in the sun and even when it is raining.

  • "Amazing property, great facilities, had the extra bonus of accidently having the food shop order delivered the day before and the owner very kindly put the shopping away."

Sorry for the inconvenience but thank you so much for the customer service, it was amazing. Would defiantly stay again.

Your welcome we couldn’t leave it out side glad you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "Great location, house had all all the facilities we needed."

Just maybe put out some instructions on how to use the Hot tub and jukebox. The house was very nice and warm in Nov. I've been to other locations where they only had the heating on a timer so it didn't really heat the house up at all during winter.

    Thank you Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely and comfortable."

The only issues I can think of is there was no iron and the heating went off before we used the bathroom on the last day. The majority of us had to leave without having a bath/shower.

  • "We arrived early at the property due to a problem with our car."

The chap cleaning the house invited us to stay on the drive whilst we waited for the AA. We were still waiting for assistance when the house cleaning was completed and the same chap told us to go into the house and was most helpful in showing us where everything was. We have had a great holiday and would say that the house is basic with a few extras. Good points: clean beds, clean towels, utility room with dehumidifier. Nice welcoming touches -tea, coffee, milk cake, hot tub, juke box, great sized garden, plenty of crockery & cutlery, good dishwasher, good range of sleeping arrangements, plenty of parking space and a lovely clean barbecue. Areas we felt could have been better: Kitchen needs rethinking - fridge too small for a family of 12, not all utensils/crockery clean. A mish-mash of utensils (3 veg peelers none of which were any good for example). No storage space for food. The house is in need of some TLC - damp walls in lounge and dining room and the handles/locks on bathroom doors need attention. The owners clearly responds to positive feedback and we can see that the house has great potential for further development. A good base for exploring Pembrokeshire and we enjoyed our stay.

  • "The property is in a wonderful, scenic location and our boys enjoyed playing in the spacious garden."

The main concern for us was the fumes that came into the lounge from the adjacent utility/boiler, meaning that we had to keep venting the room and that a couple of our group with asthma/breathing difficulties couldn't sit with us in the lounge. This worsened in windy weather, as if fumes were being blown back in. On a more minor note, the kitchen was a bit cramped for a group of our size or larger, and dishing up meals wasn't all that easy, we couldn't get the juke box to work, and the little splats of paint on the sofas and floors just made the place feel a bit shabby and unloved. This obviously didn't affect our stay in a functional sense, it just made the place feel less homely. Overall a good base for a stay but not somewhere you'd choose to stay in and relax, for the previous reasons.

  • "The property was wonderful, and we all had a great time there."

However there were some aspects we feel people should be aware of. In other properties we have stayed in a small amount of milk and tea bags are provided as a welcome pack. There was none when we arrived. The property is a long way away from any shops so unless you take your own teabags/coffee and milk you are hampered. No dishwasher tablets or dishcloth to enable you to wash up until getting to the shops the next day. If both those things were made plain on the property instructions it would be really helpful. There were lots of paint spots on floors, carpets and furniture which made the property look shabbier than it was. Two of the rooms had not been cleaned. There was a lack of property specific information (location of fuses, wifi configuration, hot tub instructions etc.). Hope this helps.

  • "We had a lovely stay with friends here."

There were some issues on arrival that were shared with the owner that he endeavoured to sort out. Communication was very good. There was a juke box in the dining room which we loved during our stay and there was a good selection of channels on the tv. The wifi was also very good , which was invaluable for the teenagers with us. Unfortunately we didn’t find the property very clean , we found empty Nutella packets and a half eaten apple in the dining room , and food down the creases of the sofas. Also one of the small sofas had a broken leg so we were unable to use it. The property was fine but needs a bit of TLC and updating , it felt a bit tired.

The facilities where great, the classic juke box was well used. The locations was just right for what we needed.

  • "Pros: the garden space was great, the kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable and the outside seating was lovely."

The juke box was a great addition. Cons: for the price we paid we expected everything to be in full working condition. Avoid the walk in shower as it pours scorching water on you if anyone turns on any tap in the house, the remote control didn’t work (even with new batteries), cupboard and drawer handles missing. The property has various steps up and down to rooms, so not particularly disability/baby friendly. Very noisy stairs, which is fine, almost atmospheric, if you don’t have sleeping babies!

  • "The cottage was lovely and in a very good position for adventures around the surrounding area."

I would say that the cottage itself is in need of updating and a few maintenance jobs which if completed would make it home from home. We had a wonderful week with our family.

  • "A lovely house for a large group in an amazing location."

Great if you have dogs and children as lots of areas to run and play in. My only criticism is the living room as was a bit crowded in the evening's and on wet days. There is only 1 tv as well which can cause a few discussions about what to watch as we was a mixed aged group from 7yrs - 68yrs!! Apart from that it was a fantastic stay and we would stay again!
