  • "I'm disappointed that there was so much dust and cobwebs nearly in every corner."

And in certain rooms there was piles of dead woodlice in the corners by the skirting boards and the hoover didn't work so we couldn't do much about cleaning it up . Apart from this minor thing we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Clean and tidy in the very spacious bungalow. Garden needs tending regularly.

  • "It’s well appointed, spacious in a great location as a base travelling around the area."

The information book was really useful and informed some of my trips. As others have mentioned a gate might be nice if advertising as a dog friendly property and recycling/rubbish the one bin was full and no directions on whether or when to put bins out for collection. The one major issue was the en-suite shower which was in a disgusting state of cleanliness with a level of mould on the grout which hasn’t happened overnight. I was unable to use it as I was travelling alone I just shut off the en-suite and used the main bathroom but in my opinion the en-suite was unusable I have photographs if you wish to see evidence.

  • "Comments left at address."

Very enjoyable stay, accommodation. The garden wasn't really suitable for dogs as it was not enclosed. Kilgetty ideal place to stay with all facilities and shops.

  • "This was our third visit to Laurellee and just like the first time we visited we had a wonderful time."

The property is spacious and everything you need for a comfortable stay is there for you to use. We will no doubt book it again in the future. (We forgot to fill in the visitor book but knowing the owners will see this post it is fine).

  • "A lovely home and complete privacy, well equipped and homely."

Only complaint is that there is no gate at the bottom of drive which makes having a dog ( or children) a bit of a nightmare. Otherwise we recommend highly

  • "Laurelee is a fantastic cottage very well equipped and a very quiet area walking distance to pub shop and takeaways."

Although there is no enclosed garden there is a totally enclosed large park for dog walking and children's park as well. l would certainly book again the only downside the cleaning company need to try harder.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at this lovingly cared for, well equipped, comfortable and quiet holiday house."

Very conveniently placed and proximity to Co-op very useful and well placed to visit beaches, castles and gardens. In Summer the lack of a lawned space and outside chairs for relaxing and eating outside is a drawback. We appreciated the owners guide and also found the beds comfortable. We would love to come again.

  • "Bit disappointed as there was no where to sit out the garden is very overgrown , the outside light was going off and on ALL night so had to turn it off even though there was a sign saying not to."

The shower screen in the main bathroom was of no use as it just let water all over the floor. The cleanliness was a bit hit and miss but the bed and bedding was spot on. It was ok but will not be going back unfortunately, also as per the other people who have been before and said in the guest book it would benefit from a secure garden.

  • "On the whole, a nice cottage with just a few niggles: the middle bedroom did not have a wardrobe (fitted or otherwise) or a mirror; the vacuum cleaner required emptying (pointed out by previous guests in the guest book - this is porbably down to the cleaner(s)); a few large bowls for spaghetti etc."

would not come amiss; the garden is not child/dog friendly as both could escape as there is no gate to the drive; recycling was not possible as no indication of bins and collection days was evident; the bathroom electric shower (next to the utility room) has a leaky pipe and shower head - both need replacing. Apart from the above, a great location and local amenities were excellent. This cottage could be at the top of Sykes list if attention is paid to the details above.

  • "Lovely property and great facilities."

It had a very homely feel which was lovely. Lots of space indoors, especially for the children. It states a garden but it’s not one that can be played in, it’s more shrubs and flowers which was a shame but it didn’t effect our stay. Would recommend to others, was a great location with lots of activities and areas to explore and all within a short distance.

  • "Beautifully clean accommodation with comfortable beds."

The bungalow exceeded our expectations. A good stop off point for visiting Tenby, Saundersfoot, Laugharne and several castles.

  • "We had a very good week & would use this cottage again."

The written instructions to find the cottage were accurate but still would be useful to have the cottage name at the start of the drive to give you confidence that you were at the correct cottage. A gate near the house would be useful as the garden is not secure for either dogs or children. Internally the cottage was very comfortable & well laid out, large bedrooms, nice lounge & good kitchen dining area. A small point, but it would be useful to have a deep casserole dish. A good location for visiting various places of interest & we would use the cottage again.

  • "The cleaning could have been better, especially in the ensuite bathroom, there were no pillow protectors on pillows, and bedding not good standard, also rubbish left from previous occupation, ie."

Cans bottles overflowing from cardboard boxes left by the back door, which we moved, the bungalow was good, but needs more care with cleaning and up the standard of bedding and towels.

  • "Lovely property, well equipped with crockery, cutlery, utensils etc but missing the little touches - every previous property we have stayed in, there was always a pint of milk and quite often a packet of biscuits."

No cloths or washing-up liquid either. The description of the garden is not accurate, there is no lawned area, shrubbery to the left of the house, small grassed area under shrubs, with a picnic bench on some paving slabs. Certainly not dog/child friendly garden. Having said that there is a dog walking field 2 mins walk away. It's a good base for exploring the local area, beaches are stunning, and some lovely country walks. Handy large co-op short walk, pub close but unfortunately doesn't do food, but good Chinese short drive away

Very clean, would be fair to say spotless! Luxurious bed linen. Really well equipped kitchen. Fabulous TV and lounge looking out onto the garden. The garden is not dog friendly sadly and she had to be on a lead, would be my only negative comment. Quiet, despite being near the road. Highly recommended.

The rural village of Kilgetty is situated 2.4 miles from one of the most picturesque villages in Pembrokeshire, Cresswell Quay is best described as a delightful hamlet of scattered cottages at the edge of the tidal estuary. The central focal point is, of course, the old quay where boats can still moor, for the time the tide allows, and you may wish to pop into the Cresselly Arms for light refreshments. Kilgetty is central to a number of attractions, with the coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby nearby, offering fabulous beaches, watersports and boat trips to Caldey Island, the home of a small gathering of monks and their monastery.
