  • "Nice cottage in a lovely location."

Nice and comfortable, log burner us great. Watch out for the high tides as it can cone right up to the cottage. Fascinating watching the water approach. Would recommend.

  • "It was our first time at the strand and we loved it."

The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The welcome pack was a lovely thought. The cottage was very cosy and good to come back to. We only used the log burner once due to warm weather. The view from the cottage was spectacular in all weather's especially the last morning in the frost. We will be booking again for best year.

  • "Perfectly placed for stunning views of the estuary."

The cottage has Everything you need for a perfect relaxing break.

Dear Joanne - thank you for your favourable comments both in my visitors book and via the Sykes feedback. I am just wondering is there a specific reason for the lowish score and is there anything I can do to improve your experience. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage in a fabulous location right on the estuary."

Very dog friendly with an enclosed back garden for our dog and Plenty of walks on the doorstep. The cottage was very comfortable with a downstairs bedroom ideal for my husband who has poor mobility . The facilities were excellent with everything we needed for our stay.

  • "We had the most amazing week at 2 the strand."

Cozy homely cottage and what a peaceful spot with stunning ever changing views a real gem of a property well equipped with lovely personal touches which say welcome as soon as you walk in. Just a thought but maybe a full length stair rail would help and perhaps a small hand rail on the small incline leading up to the front patio as area gets quite slippery when its wet. We all came back feeling very chilled out and love the log burner. Will definitely be booking again!!!!

  • "Absolutely beautiful cottage with everything you might possibly need for a stay."

Surprisingly spacious inside, and very comfortable. Lovely and warm on chill mornings and evenings too. Even if it didn't have the glorious view I'd very highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Absolutely can't fault it, and the little thoughtful touches included are very much appreciated.

  • "Beautifully situated with amazing views of Laugharne Castle, the boathouse and the estuary."

Cottage was cozy and comfortable, we were able to sit and watch the ebb and flow of the tides from the front window and spot curlews, herons, egrets and ducks. Lovely welcome pack with a bottle of wine and welsh cakes. Absolutely perfect spot for a quiet break with the advantage of pubs and restaurants a short walk away.

  • "Lovely location with views across the estuary and to the castle."

Enclosed garden at the back worked really well for the dogs and there were walks directly from the cottage. Restaurants, pubs, shop etc only a few minutes walk away and about 20 mins drive to some great beaches. Cottage is more spacious than it looks in the photos and is well equipped and nicely furnished.

Gill left us a welcome pack of flowers, wine and Welsh cakes which was greatly appreciated. Lovely views both from the front garden, the upstairs bedroom (very comfortable bed), and the cosy sitting room. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with everything you could need. Laugharne is a beautiful place and we look forward to returning as soon as possible.

About the location

LAUGHARNE

Tenby 16 miles.

Laugharne, with its majestic castle standing on a low ridge overlooking the wide Taf River Estuary, is famous for its associations with the poet Dylan Thomas, and a visit to his Boat House and the writing shed where he wrote most of his works is a wonderful experience. Beautiful walks in and around the castle, with breathtaking views of the estuary, can be followed by cream teas in quaint little tea rooms, a drink in the local pub or shopping in the gift shops and mini market. The nearby sandy beach at Pendine is where many land speed records have been famously set on its seven mile stretch of beautiful flat sand, and a little further afield are the seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot. With walks in all directions, great days out at castles, mills and craft centres galore, this is a perfect base for all the family, at any time of the year.
