The property

Y Felin is a beautiful old mill converted into a charming holiday let, surrounded by Welsh countryside on the fringes of Newport, Pembrokeshire.

Full of character, this stone-built cottage retains much of its original features, stunning arched doorways and a cosy feel throughout.

Bring your other half or small family to share a memorable break in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Make yourselves truly at home in the farmhouse-style kitchen, with everything you need to rustle up your loved ones a delicious meal.

Later, move through to the lounge and cosy up in front of the fire, the woodburning stove heats the whole of the house, keeping you toasty and warm during a winter getaway.

The ground floor is complete with a lovely twin room and the family bathroom, where you can enjoy a rejuvenating soak in a bubble bath after a long, bracing walk on the coast, or wake up to a shower each morning.

Climb the stone spiral staircase to find a well-presented double room, and next to this a handy cloakroom for your convenience.

The coastal town of Newport is a rather desirable destination for a holiday, with pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries all set among a picturesque landscape of natural beauty.

Stroll the golden sands and climb the small mountain that rests just behind Newport, Carningli, which has the remains of an Iron Age village, definitely worth a visit for historians.

You are within reach of an array of water sports such as kite-surfing and diving, not forgetting the Pembrokeshire Coast Path National Trail, one of the world’s greatest walks and a wonderful opportunity to spot dolphins and other sea life.

Dinas Island also makes a lovely day out, with its dramatic cliff-side scenery jutting out into the ocean.

Also nearby is Ceibwr Bay, an iconic place to enjoy at any time.

Pentre Burial Chamber and Ty Canol woods are places not to be missed and within walking distance.

Two miles away you will find the village of Nevern with its bleeding yew trees.

This wonderful hideaway makes the ideal choice for those looking to explore the fabulous walking country on the south west coast of Wales.
