"Lovely comfortable cottage, already booked for next year."
Two problems though, the catch on the front door does not work and the Windows inside and outside need cleaning otherwise nice place
-
"We were very comfortable in the cottage, which was secluded and quiet."
There is a campsite at the back of the house but it can't be seen and there was no noise from it. The cottage is a little old fashioned but it didn't matter as it was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The only recommendation we would make is that there were no bits and bobs like cling film, or foil, and a squeegee would be useful to clean the shower after use.
-
"We very much enjoyed our stay at Park Hall cottage , and if we were in this area again would be happy to stay there once more !"
The cottage was very roomy and had 2 double and 1 single bedroom , and would be ideal for a family and even for a disabled person because there is a staircase.
-
"This is a lovely big house with good facilities but a few things would have made better."
I appreciate not everyone provides welcome packs but due to the location maybe milk & teabags would be nice. There wasn't any bleach/disinfectant which would have been useful due to smell in sink from drains. Also there wasn't a hairdryer which was very unusual. The decor is very dated with the lounge being quite dark but as the weather was nice we didn't spend much time in it. The location is lovely with great views.
-
"I have already made comments, obviously they didn't suit."
Here goes again. Crockery chipped, doors difficult to open/close. Step on landing easy to fall as looks just like the carpet. Kitchen sink smelled awful, had to buy bleach to get rid of the smell. Furniture needs updating, no good for elderly people as too low. Bathroom tiled floor very slippery when wet, needs an outside shower mat.
-
"This is our third stay at the cottage and over all it is good value for your money, however a lot of the furnishings etc are getting old and tired."
-
"Just back from our second stay at this lovely cottage, location as last time ,really tranquil, beautiful sunsets, wildlife fab to watch, pheasants, foxes etc."
Seriously thinking of booking again we like it that much.Precious memories made with people that are precious to me.Met the owner, lovely chap.
-
"Really lovely stay here, it’s peaceful, private, spacious & spotlessly clean."
-
"Pleasant stay."
Awesome decoration works and a feel good home. Fully equipped. Had all comforts and thanks. One recommendation is to add lock to bathrooms and toilets possible. It disturbs privacy badly.
-
"Really enjoyed our stay."
Very peaceful location. Cottage was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place for a holiday, Plenty of space for 6 (including a baby in the cot). Would use this place again if we come back to West Wales.
-
"Very quiet perfect setting we loved the location and the cottage was perfect in every way we hope to book again soon"
-
"Really loved our stay at Park Hall Cottage."
Everything that was stated in the description was totally accurate. The furnishings and the house itself are top class. We really enjoyed our holiday here, the peace and quiet was lovely. The house is really cosy and spacious, providing excellent value for money We looked forward to returning to our base here after touring the area and look forward to hopefully returning in the future.
-
"The property was spotlessly clean and the facility and equipment all good."
Comfy beds and nice shower. The heating was excellent. Loverly and peaceful and private.
-
"We enjoyed our stay at this delightful cottage."
It is extensively fitted out with quality equipment and recently decorated. The location is rural so quiet. It’s a shame that other holiday lets are not to the same high standard.
-
"Enjoyed our stay,so much so that we booked again for next year."
Really peaceful,great location.Warm and inviting cottage,loved it.
-
"Peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings but easy access to the dramatic coastline of south Pembrokeshire."
Well maintained with quality furnishings and furniture as well as, sufficient heating eventhough we were blessed with fine weather for October. This property should be listed 5 star in view of the added facility, stair lift. Thoroughly recommend a stay at Park Hall Cottage.
-
"Fantastic location , very quiet and peaceful with superb views ."
Very clean and well equipped . We have booked again for November
-
"Compared to the many other cottages that we have stayed in this one although nice is lacking in how welcoming it is No welcome pack a few tea bags and milk would be helpful when you have travelled a long way."
The people caravanning at the bottom of the adjacent campsite were effectively right under the bedroom window Towels although provided are small so bring your own Bedroom was a bit musty smelling with torn curtains and a cracked window Kitchen although functional and clean is lacking some items- only 2 breakfast bowls Would be nice to have access to the garage for storage inside for bikes etc Nice enough but there are better and this left us with a little disappointment with the accommodation and facilities
-
"Nice secluded property - just what was needed - Ideal location ."
Property was clean and tidy - plenty of room for a family and safe outdoor play area. All appliances (Tv./washer/cooker/d.washer/etc) working perfectly. Fabulous bathroom. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you
-
"Spacious, quiet (you can actually hear the birds singing throughout the day) As a base for exploring the area it would hard to find better."
-
"A beautiful, spacious and comfortable house, which together with the superb weather and fabulous surroundings made our holiday truly relaxing and memorable, which will be recommended to all our friends."
-
"Great house, great location, quiet and secluded."
Not far from a great beach at Newgale. Plenty of enclosed garden area. Ideal set up for parents with small child and baby and one pair of elderly Grandparents, with it having the stairlift.
-
"A very spacious property and well manicured grounds."
The house is very well situated away from traffic and noise etc ..the house itself is large with plenty of room for everyone who stays. 2 miles from Newgale beach..I have already booked for next year ..
-
"A beautiful cottage in a most peaceful and picturesque area of Pembrokeshire."
The facilities were excellent but the owner does need to check the quantity of his white crockery in the kitchen for five guests. Beds and lounge furniture very comfortable but main bedroom curtains need replacing..they are shredded.
-
"This is a large and well equipped house in an excellent location."
The house is in a quiet area with a beautiful outlook but only a couple of miles from the village of Solva and only a few miles from the coast. We found the house very comfortable and we're particularly pleased to find such a comfortable bed. The area around the house is quiet with just the sound of birds singing. The kitchen was well equipped and we made all of our meals there. There is also a lovely garden area with outside seats, although the evenings were too cold during our stay to make much use of it. Just one or two minor issues with the property. You need to make sure you bring everything you are going to need on your first evening as there is no welcome pack as there is at many properties, so you need to bring bread, milk, toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, etc as the nearest shop is several miles away. There is also a step on the landing which is easy to forget about and trip over. Overall though this is a fabulous place to stay and we will probably visit again in the future.
-
"A very spacious, quiet and comfortable house, with everything provided Lovely views of St Davids Head , well situated for trips along the coast ."
We were very happy here and enjoyed every day, many thanks !
-
"We enjoyed our stay but there are a few issues that need addressing."
The main bedroom, the mattress was lumpy and very uncomfortable. The valance sheet in the main bedroom was stained, the curtains were ripped and stained too. It would be useful to have a lock on the bathroom door too. The cottage itself was roomy, warm and a great utility area for washing and drying your clothes.
-
"Great place to explore Pembrokeshire."
Very quiet and peaceful with distant sea views. Its got everything you would probably need. Enough said !!
-
"We love this cottage ."
.and we’re saddened to see that the points we raised after our first visit hadn’t been addressed. The kitchen tap is still constantly dripping and the shower still has a leak which swells the wood on the outer right hand trim . Only 2 large white soup bowls even though the place sleeps 5 .Mattresses need to be turned more frequently for guest comfort . It’s a fabulous place in beautiful surroundings and we will be booking again but it’s sad to see the place not being cared for as well as it deserves .Other places we have rented have left out welcoming packs which would also be a great idea .All in all a lovely place to stay , just a bit better care needed with the cleaning and maintenance it would easily be a 5 star property .
-
"Brilliant Cottage, lovely night sleep bed very comfortable."
Very peaceful enjoyed our stay. Many thanks Sue, Rob and Daniel Mannings
-
"Radiator in bathroom needs bleeding."
A few more toilet rolls would have been nice, we had to purchase our own. Apart from these small issues a very enjoyable stay in a very quiet and peaceful location. All amenities in the property are top rate.
-
"Excellent cottage and location with distant views of the sea and cliffs, if you're looking for a scenic cottage with great facilities this is the place to go."
I've never experienced a silence like it in the nights, so peaceful, watching the sunset with a glass of wine was the ideal experience. All necessary adjustments were made to the property to accommodate my 10-month year old with stairgate, highchair and cot provided. The Duke of Edinburgh in Newgale does excellent pub grub which is a 5-minute drive away so although remote there are amenities nearby - Nearest decent shop we found was in St Davids (15 mins away), if you're looking for a supermarket etc... it would be Haverfordwest which is a (25 min drive away). Plethora of beaches at your disposal aswell, gorgeous views and fresh country air all wrapped up in a (in my opinion) 5* accommodation. I'd like the thank Park Hall Cottage for being so accommodating as hosts and I'm sure my little family will be returning next year. :)

"We had a really relaxing stay."
A minor issue was quickly rectified by the friendly owner, who lives locally. The cottage has everything needed for a self catering holiday. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bedding of high quality. The smart TV was a welcome surprise. The WiFi speed was better than expected for a rural property. The location a few miles from Solva was excellent for exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. We will certainly book again in the future.
-
"Excellent facilties plenty of storage lovely homely cottage couldn't fault it will certainly stay again"
-
"Not being able to afford Cornwall where we normally stay, had memories of sandy beaches 'over the Bridge'."
so we decided to give it a go. Advertised as 'a rare find', is no exaggeration at all! Lovely home, large & peaceful surroundings, everything we could have hoped for, & more. A really lovely week, for which we are grateful. Thank you so much. The Darwalls & Di
-
"Very quiet and peaceful cottage."
Very well equipped with everything you need. The nearest shop was a few miles away but this was not a problem as I had my regular Tesco delivery on the day we arrived and they had no problem finding the house.
-
"It was a lovely cottage,."
We had a very comfortable stay. peaceful, good location for getting about. Would definitely go back.
-
"Very quiet, lovely views, within easy reach of villages and towns."
I would thoroughly recomend.
-
"A lovely, warm, spacious property in a quiet area near Solva."
Our second year here and just booked for our third, next year. Only adjustment I'd suggest is a new headboard in the master bedroom as it can be noisy when getting comfy (or fix it so it doesn't move so freely). Won't put us off staying again, that's for sure!!
-
"The house was ideal for our needs, very comfortable and so peaceful."
So many beautiful places to explore right on the doorstep. We live in South Pembrokeshire and stayed while having building work done and it was a joy to arrive to such a spotlessly clean oasis of calm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again. We've also recommended it to my sister who has booked for August.
-
"Had a pleasant stay - lovely views, the garden very big and lots of birds."
House warm & beds very comfortable. Also had problem with water coming through ceiling in kitchen from shower but the owner regrouted shower while we were out & no further problems. Please note the turning for the house is immediately past the end of the caravan park. You have to go through the gate and down a long drive to reach the house. The area was stunning with beautiful walks.
-
"We loved the property!"
It has a beautiful view from the living room and bedrooms. Had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. There are lovely walks. We walked to Solva a couple of times. We will recommend this property to all our friends. Thank you Dianne and Dave
-
"This is a large detached property in a quiet, isolated country position."
It is abundantly equipped with good quality faciities. It is very easy to prepare and serve meals in the kitchen and eat them around the six seater dining table. There is a seperate dining room if more seating is needed. For the winter months, the central heating works very well. The additional gas fire in the generous living room is available if needed. In November, we were fine without it. Access to the coast is a very short drive and the town of Havrefordwest with ample shops and restaurants is only a little further. Presented by caring owners, this is a great place for a holiday or short break.
-
"A very cosy, spacious and comfortable cottage."
The cottage itself was very clean inside and out. Around the cottage the gardens were very tidy and well kept. The location being rural was quiet and peaceful. We would have no hesitation in staying again in the future.
-
"An excellent holiday location, well furnished and with a superb kitchen and utensils."
Information on how to operate the cooker would be useful
-
"If you like peace & quiet your making the right choice with Park HallCottage."
We’ve been 4 times now Love it . See you next year
-
"A bbq would be good please!"
We love staying here very much, the owner is great and helped sort the internet asap when it broke. Large and spacious. However, not willing to pay the doubled prices of next year. Sykes when the prices become fair again we look forward to staying!
-
"Great location and views."
Lively and spacious accommodation.

"We loved staying at this cottage and hope to be back again in the future."
Everything was there - I took extra kitchen cleaning bits as I wasn't sure but it was all there ( dishwasher tablets, tea towel, washing up liquid, handwashes). Wonderful dining kitchen, easy to use gas hob and electric ovens. All pots, pans, trays, jugs etc etc all there. Bedrooms were lovely and spacious and comfortable. As it was mid summer we do feel that due to early morning light, a blackout blind could be better in main front bedroom velux windows . The cottage was very spacious for a family of 4. However, we didn't use the 2nd reception room, and an idea could be to have a spare bed in here for another older family member, i.e. my mum could've come with us. But it's in a lovely location and grounds - nice and quiet, private, tucked out of the way. Nice easy drive to Solva and St Davids too. Overall, wonderful place to stay.
-
"A fabulous place in the country very private long driveway views and county side all around."
The sea only a couple of miles away ,Fishguard was a beautiful place with easy parking some free. Just a couple of personal negatives 1st the dorma windows in the roof of 1 bedroom wasn't dark enough at 4:30am every morning when daylight comes through your woken up, because the blinds are white and nearly see through. They should have been black or even dark grey like in the bathroom which blocks the light out. 2nd was no welcome pack left which out of the 10 places we've stayed at before have... even last month during the C19 they did and in Sept last year. Not asking for a hamper but after a 6hr drive getting there after tea there was nothing left to make a drink or anything. So for the sake of £5 a 2 pint small milk a small Nescafe jar 100gms and 6 tea bags would have saved me going back out trying to find a shop. You say a shop 2 miles away but don't say where left or right from the main road.I went left and it was miles away and that was a garage. Sorry i'm so long winded, but just had to express our feelings and hope maybe those 2 issues may help customers in future ...Only time will tell ....But that won't stop us going back time after time I hope ,we loved the place it's10/10 just can't fault the place ....Just brilliant and thankyou for a most enjoyable 2 wk holiday !

"Had one of the most amazing holidays."
Couldn't recommend this place enough :)

the house was a bit lacking with the kitchen tools other than that was ok a warning about that split floor on the landing could be wise

"Third time lucky great time again Shame about the weather but Hey this is our great British summer"
-
"Beautiful property ."
Great location . Owner extremely helpful when we got very lost . Great long weekend everything you could want in cottage .
-
"This was a clean, comfortable and cosy cottage."
We liked how quiet the location was and there was plenty of space both inside and outside. We will happily return at some point in the future.
-
"Excellent in every respect"
-
"We had a really good holiday ."
The house was in an ideal position all you could hear was the birds singing in the morning .On arrival we couldn’t get the heating on as the house felt quite cold & the stair lift wasn’t working I found the number in the book which I thought was the cleaner bit was the owner He came over about 15 mins later & sorted the problem out so we’re thankful for that. The Area was just what we wanted. Our favourite beaches were broad Haven. New gale & Norton Haven well worth a visit All in All we had a Lovely trip Will be using Sykes again soon for our next trip. Many Thanks

My only comment would be that it would be useful to have somewhere to hang wet suits in the back kitchen, otherwise great
-
"The accomodation was really good value for money in a cracking location."
Two minor points, the velux blinds in the master bedroom should be blackout blinds and a non stick frying pan would be a good call.
-
"I think the you need to upgrade the instructions on how to get to this property."
They are correct but when you turn left there are two gates. One to a field and the other wooden gate looks like it is the back way to the caravan park. You cannot see the property from the gate as it is about 200 yards ahead and the lane/driveway goes up and it obscures the property. There is the name on the gate post but it is not very clear especially when it has gone dark and pouring down. It took us an hour and a half to find the property and several phone calls.
-
"It was difficult to find the cottage from the rural road, and there was no mention of a gate with a driveway leading up to the house."
Although we found Park Hall Village campsite which was adjacent to the cottage, the satnav took us to the gate, but the name of the cottage on the gatepost wasn't visible from the road and we passed it by first time. I think this information needs to be published in your description as it's a bit misleading for people.
-
"Park Hall Cottage was just right for us, Quiet, Detatched, Very spacious, and Quite Remote."
The views were excellent, there is a distant view of the sea especialy on a clear day. Two little niggles not much to worry about, 1, there is a freezer in the kitchen this was NOT stated in the description and is always usfull to know beforehand. 2, abit concerned about the stains on the bedroom carpet and bed valence! All in all a very good cottage in a lovely location, just wish we had better weather during our stay.
-
"Park Hall cottage is spacious and comfortable in a quiet setting with views to the horizon at St Davids head."
We reported a problem with the shower in the evening of arrival, it was repaired the following day. 1st class all round.
-
"This was very ideal for my family and the were a lot we could do within the radius of the cottage."
We’re going back for sure.
-
"Park Hall Cottage is a lovely holiday home."
Plenty of down-stair living space and pleasant bedrooms for a family of four. It's a great location for exploring Pembrokeshire and within reach of a few great beaches. It's a very quiet location although easy to get to. The large garden is fully enclosed and safe for children. We enjoyed a relaxing holiday and would recommend.
-
"Very peaceful, quiet setting, lovely comfortable house with plenty of room and level garden space."
Ideal for young and old. Convenient for Newgale and Whitesands.
-
"The property was comfortable but unfortunately there was one or two things that ..."
The property was comfortable but unfortunately there was one or two things that we think should be looked at the toilet needed to be fixed to the floor and also the shower needed to be sealed as water dripped into the kitchen in more than one place,
-
"Lovely clean cottage with beautiful views."
Also lovely and quiet. Would go back.
-
"Park Hall Cottage was a real gem."
It is a cottage that sleeps 5 and there were only 2 of us this gave us plenty of room to stretch out. It was not easy to find the cottage using the postcode which took us to a caravan site called Park Hall Village. The cottage is situated past the site separate with its own gated drive. You cannot see the site from the cottage which is completely self contained. Plenty of space for children to run around safely. Very quiet situation surrounded by farmland and about a 2 mile drive from the coastal village of Solva. No local supermarket so be prepared for that. The cottage is entered by the back door which took us a while to work out because that was not explained. Once inside we were very happy with what we found. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you could require. Good wifi and a nice tv. Lovely linen and a great walk in shower no bath. You can eat in the kitchen or the dining room and the lounge is comfortable. Lots of places to explore all along the coast and within easy reach. The owner came to visit us to say hello and make sure everything was ok. We would love to return another time.
