Comfortable, cosy and situated in the most beautiful gardens / grounds, accessed down a private track so very secluded. Everything you need is provided. Spotlessly clean. Had an issue with the hot water whilst we were there so contacted the owner Will, who couldn't have been more helpful, and within a few hrs the boiler had been fixed. Cottage is literally a few minutes drive from the beach and local amenities. So much to see and do within easy reach. Games room is brilliant with loads of extras such as swing ball and croquet to use in the garden. Garden full of wildlife and beautifully landscaped. Cannot recommend highly enough - we will definitely be back.

  • "Thoroughly recommend this cottage."

Down a narrow track so off the road with an amazing garden, beautifully landscaped. Cottage very well equipped and refurbished and worked perfectly for us, a family of 5. Beds and sofas all comfortable and kitchen well arranged with everything we could have needed. In a scorching week the stone walls kept us cool. The games room was a bit hit with all the family and had extra freezer and fridge space which was a great bonus but the main attraction was the table tennis table, but also the extras - swing all, frisbees, balls etc for the garden. Saved us taking stuff or buying extra. Owners very helpful and responsive. Wildlife in the garden great - rabbits, bats, birds a plenty and even a toad. The family unanimously agreed it was the best cottage we have ever stayed in. It’s well placed for getting out and about with lots to do in the area. Position is between Amroth and Pendine beaches, the former was the one we favoured - sandy and safe for children with a very gradual decline so no hidden drops. Superb for swimming, paddling and games, and lifeguards on duty. Can’t recommend highly enough. We can’t recommend this cottage highly enough.

I am seeking some form of compansation for this , after waiting nearly 2 years for this break only to be cut short by the above events.

We are surprised and disappointed to hear that you left the cottage early, cutting short your holiday. Regarding your comments about possible damp and a musty smell, please note that last winter, as part of a major overall improvement and reroofing project, the cottage was fitted with new, carefully designed ventilation systems in the kitchen, bathroom and shower room. In addition, a new dehumidifier, with HEPA air filter, was installed in the kitchen. The main objective of this work was to control humidity and prevent condensation caused by cooking, baths and showers etc within this old, stone-built cottage. You imply that the dehumidifier runs continuously, but that is not the case. It operates automatically as required to maintain a set humidity level, and the condensate it produces is piped away via the cottage drainage system, so no guest intervention is required in its operation. We ask guests not to switch it off so that it can fulfil its function in preventing condensation. The design and the construction work were subject to the usual local authority building control approvals, and we have received the building control completion certificate, confirming compliance with building regulations. By coincidence, the cottage was inspected by the owner on the Friday of your arrival (20/8/21), together with the architect responsible for the improvement project. This was a final quality check, prior to closure of the contract with the building contractor. The architect confirmed that the new systems described above were all found to be functioning as intended, with no evidence of damp, condensation or musty smells during the visit. You did not raise any concerns to us during your stay and you did not respond to the owner's courtesy text that he sent to the mobile number you provided to check all was well on the day of your arrival. We take the concerns you have now raised very seriously and, if you could provide further specific information to us via email about the issues that arose during your stay, then we will of course investigate further. Thank you for your kind comments about the views, grounds, and standard of upkeep at Pwll Cottage. Property Owner

Sun loungers could do with cushions , they were rather hard .

Thank you very much for your feedback. Due to the position of the wall sockets in the bedroom, there is an extension lead plugged in which has 2 empty sockets, but presumably you did not see this. In regards to the sun lounger, we will see if we can get some appropriate cushions. For next time, please do not hesitate to contact us or Sykes during your holiday regarding any questions or concerns, so that we can help while you're still at the cottage. Thank you again for your feedback, and thanks also for the lovely comments you have left in our visitors' book. Property Owner

There is work in progress to add a small games room and improve the shower facilities, which will be great. Also, the footpaths from the cottage are apparently under improvement but some were not very accessible. Much appreciated were the logs for the kitchen fire and barbecue charcoal as well as welcome carton of milk and welsh-cakes on arrival. The owner was very helpful. Pwll Cottage is well situated for lots of attractions - unfortunately due to Covid we found many still closed, but normally would be plenty to see and do, but we were happy to be somewhere comfortable and safe, and enjoyed what the cottage had to offer. • "We stayed a week in this lovely cottage with its beautiful large garden."

The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and calm, it is a great place to relax and have a nice vacation away from busy life. Marros Beach, which is in walking distance from the cottage, is absolutely brilliant and usually very quiet since it is only accessible by a small footpath. There is also a coastal path starting near the cottage, so there are plenty of options for nice little walks. Nonetheless, places like Amroth and Saundersfoot are just a short drive away and offer a variety of pubs and grocery stores. On the inside, Pwll cottage has a lovely English cottage flair while also having a very modern equipment. There is Wifi, an internet connected TV, another 2 TVs in the bedrooms, an internet radio in the kitchen and a dehumidifier. The kitchen is very well vested with everything you need, including a microwave and a washing machine. There is also a barbecue in the garden, which we used for a lovely little garden party. Everything was very clean upon our arrival and the information book included everything we needed to know about Pwll cottage and its surrounding area, If there ever were any questions, the owner was always very happy to help and eager to solve any problem. A little head's up: the little children's room is indeed very small and only suitable for younger children, we personally wouldn't recommend it as a bedroom for a teenager or an adult. Apart from this the other rooms were all lovely and very comfortable and spacious. We are definitely planning to come back for another relaxing holiday at Pwll cottage!
