    The children enjoyed the visits from the dogs and going to see the cow, donkeys and especially the big pony who seemed to like the attention. The hosts were very attentive and welcoming and the welcome pack was fabulous. We had a lovely week thank you.

The property

An excellent, detached spacious property, set in an elevated position and offering far-reaching rural views across the stunning surrounding countryside.

When driving up to the cottage, passing horses quietly grazing in the fields, you’ll be keen to spot the property and be more than happy with your choice.

Drive around to the rear where you’ll find the entrance porch leading into a beautifully presented kitchen, where the large dining table and comfy settee help to make it a perfect family room in which to spend many hours together.

The separate sitting room, with its wide windows offering delightful country views, has a wonderful, warming woodburner, ideal to cosy up in front of on cool evenings.

A utility room and a shower room complete the ground floor, whilst upstairs you’ll find a family shower room, three double bedrooms and one twin, each uniquely presented in calming pastel colours and offering a good night’s sleep after a fun day out and about.

The large patio garden is accessed from the kitchen and provides a perfect place to enjoy a drink or maybe a barbecue on warm evenings, whilst a stroll up to the raised lawn is rewarded with wonderful views.

Guests are welcome to take a turn around the pretty grounds, with its lakes, stream and wonderful woodland where you can pick wild flowers or listen to the birds calling to each other from the trees overhead.

Near at hand you'll enjoy country or coastal walks, a quiet cycle ride, historic castles, Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne, the seaside resort of Tenby and so much more, making this the absolutely perfect base for your family holiday.

St. Clears is a small town set inland between Carmarthen and the coastal resorts of the Pembrokeshire coast. Great for exploring the South Wales coastline, the area is ideal for walkers, cyclists, and explorers alike. St. Clears hosts a variety of festivals and carnivals throughout the year, and has a number of shops, pubs and eateries, and the mound of the 12th century St. Clears Castle can still be seen. Within a short drive of St. Clears are Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and the Heron's Brook Golfing and Fishing Centre. Visit Tenby, Laugharne Castle, the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and the renowned Botanic and Aberglasney Gardens. In all directions there is easy access to stunning scenery including the Preselli Mountains, the Pembrokeshire coastal path, Gower Peninsula, and the Brecon Beacons. A wonderful base for exploring South Wales, with something for everyone!
