  • "What an amazing holiday home, it has everything you need & more."

I went here for a week with my 14 month old daughter, my mum & my grandfather, we all had an amazing time. They put up stair gates for us & provided a high chair. Kitchen has all utensils & crockery you need, they’ve really thought of everything making it a home from home. Spotless clean, spacious, comfy beds & gorgeous location on the farm. It was nice and peaceful. Lots to do in surrounding areas but not many eating out places and lots only open Thurs - sun which was fine for us as we cooked some nights so just a heads up. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back here again. Thank you so much.

  • "We had a really lovely week in Elder Cottage with 6 adults and four young children, all the more enhanced by superb weather."

The cottage is spacious, very comfortable, extremely well kitted out and was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The outside space is particularly inviting with a completely enclosed lawned garden as well as two paved patio areas with outdoor tables and a sun umbrella which we even got to use! A good sized bbq completed our great outdoor experience for the week. There is also a shared area with a swing and slide for young children. Kidwelly Castle and Pembrey Country Park are very close by and well worth a visit as well as the Gower Peninsular about an hour's drive away. Thank you Sue for a great week.

The thing it doesn't show well enough is how huge the rooms are. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 children to relax in. The owner Sue was very pleasent an on hand if needed. A great base for anyone wanting to explorer the area. Pembery beach and country park is a short 10 min drive away which we visited nearly every day. Would highly recommend.

  • "Elder cottage is well stocked and amazingly clean."

The owner has taken extreme care that the stream infront of the cottage is accesible to young children go look at but is fenced off including a bridge ,so very safe. There is a couple of swings and a goat enclosure. The rooms were spacious except the bunk bed room. The 3 bathrooms were very handy. The cottage is sited very rurally with an easy walk on fields near the cottage . The cottage has 2 televisions one in the living room and one in the dining, teenage son said great plus. Kidwelly is close enough with its Castle and shops. Pembrey is a tame beach 5 miles away. We explored Brecon Beacons and the Gower which are an hour away and St Davids which is a bit more. We even caught some surfing at Newgale. The cottage had the space to accomodate all our equipment and needs for these trips. Full marks. My husband felt the dvds could be updated but small issue. Highly recommend a visit.

Facilities second to none, REALLY good for my disabled husband, the downstairs bedroom, wet room and level floor - and garden - were all easily accessible for him in his wheelchair. The level of cleanliness was the best I have ever seen, too, and the owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed - even to the extent of lending my two-year-old grandson a sit-and-ride tractor for the week which he loved. Would have no hesitation in recommending this to everyone.
