  • "Absolutely lovely property, we really enjoyed our stay."

The only things we believe would improve the property would be the master bed, it was rock hard and we found it very uncomfortable, the shower being electric with hardly any flow when you have a new pressurised cylinder there it is a shame not to have a better shower and finally the walls are showing dust, dirt and damp we have the problem ourselves having exposed stone walls at home. But to be honest the property is beautiful and we would definitely come back. You are lovely hosts and very welcoming and friendly. Thank you again for having us.

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and always take any feedback seriously …. We have checked the bed and although it is personal preference, we have installed a new bed and mattress. We have also checked the shower and installed a new shower head which has sorted any pressure issues . All stone walls have also been thoroughly cleaned and repainted. Kind Regards Andrew and Anona Property Owner

  • "I booked this cottage because it looked great in the pictures, but even they didn't do it justice, it was fabulous!"

The location was beautiful, and because I hadn't done my research properly, the nearby sandy beaches came as a bonus, especially at Newport, literally a couple of miles up the lane! Andrew and Anona were very welcoming, and we are already planning to return. I very highly recommend all the cottages on Treicert Farm.

Friendly hosts and very well equipped accommodation. Without hesitation, we would recommend Bwthyn Bach to anyone looking for a great place to stay in rural Wales.

  • "The cottage was lovely, clean, well equipped and oh so peaceful."

The hosts are on site and very helpful. If anything the mattresses in the twin room could be better but then they're probably aimed at children. The countryside and walks are amazing, totally loved this area on pembrokeshire.

  • "Absolutely fabulous week of glorious weather in a glorious setting."

Bwythan Bach cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. We got a lovely warm welcome from Anona and her mum who live onsite, even the cats came to say hello. The beach which has the amazing Witches Cauldron area is about 45 minutes walk away from the cottage and is a must see, it’s spectacular and a great excuse to leave the car! It’s the first time in all the years of holidaying that I’ve felt so completely and utterly relaxed! Everything was just so easy with the open plan one level layout. There was a burst water main one day so consequently no water for a few hours. Anona came round with a box of chocolates despite it being totally out of her control to apologise to us. Can’t sing this place’s highly enough. The only thing I might change if it was my property would be to maybe put a little bit of privacy screening up as this cottages garden was at the front and as such I didn’t feel I could sunbathe there despite it being the weather to do so. It would not stop me returning though as I would love to come back again very soon. Thank you Anona and Andrew.

  • "Beautifully clean and comfortable cottage and a great deal of care had been taken over COVID-19 requirements."

Great location - a short distance from the spectacular coast. And it was so quiet! Just what we were looking for. We took our dog and the enclosed front garden ensured she was able to sun herself! Highly recommended.

  • "Great location."

There is a walk to coastal path amazing views. Quiet and super clean. It will benefit with more drying facilities for wet suits and shower towels and beach towels. As during summer months the heating is not necessary and the radiators don't activate for you to dry things.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you had a great time. There is lots of outside space to hang wetsuits and towels to dry and also a rack to facilitate this. If guests wish to dry any items inside the cottage, we have a great heating system which can always be turned on and up anytime of the year, using the thermostat in the hallway. Property Owner

  • "We had a great time."

The weather was wet and very windy. We managed some long walks. It was great to return to the cozy cottage and enjoy a glass of wine by the log fire.

  • "A perfect getaway from it all destination."

All the facilities needed to make it feel a proper home from home albeit a slightly remote location but the peace of being able to walk the dog and actually hear no traffic was most welcomed. Owners introduced themselves but were not intrusive. If you’re looking to recharge your batteries you won’t be disappointed here.

The kitchen is very well equipped and there is helpful information about local services as well as walks. There is a pleasant outside seating area, which has the sun all day and is conveniently fenced so our dog could be off the lead but contained. Mr.and Mrs. Thomas and family were on hand and very friendly and helpful. We could not have wished for a lovelier place for our first holiday in Pembrokeshire. Thank you for a super week.

  • "Bwthyn Bach was one of a small number of other converted farm buildings within a working farm."

Although there were other guests around, this didn't feel intrusive. The old, thick brick walls meant that the sound proofing was excellent, helpful when you have 2 dogs. We had an issue with the shower and bath, but we informed the owners, so I'm sure this will have been sorted. WiFi was very slow and only really able to access emails, so if anyone is wanting to work from home on their holiday (why would you!?), then this will need to be taken into account. The farm is situated a bit out of the way, so we drove to places we wanted to go to and walked from there. Nevern is a beautiful place and we found a stunning walk, discovering the river where we saw Kingfishers and Dippers. Newport is the nearest small town and there is where you can walk along Newport Bay, as well as do your shopping. The beauty of staying in Nevern/ Newport area, is that it is only 20 to 40 mins drive away from all the coastal walks we wanted to do. Porthgain, Fishguard, St David's and Dinas Island. The cottage had everything you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire.

Many thanks for your feedback. The shower was fixed when you informed us on your departure and we are onsite and available if there are any problems during your stay. Property Owner

  • "The Holiday cottage was just what we needed."

And I thank you for supplying the information and the ability to book so easily. What I don't like is the numerous emails from you or someone else advertising Sykes cottages that tell me this is what is available. When I need a cottage I will look on your web pages as I did originally. I first select the dates and then the location of where I wish to spend the vacation. Numerous emails telling me what's available is wasting your time & mine, and they get deleted because I have no interest in you telling me what is available for a date that I haven't even decided on. Your latest one.......... Where will your holiday take you? is an example of what I mean.
