  • "Cottage was well equiped and in a lovely spot."

We found that the furniture and bed were not comfortable for us as they were too soft but this is a personal choice. I used the jaccuzzi twice which was lovely but it does use a lot of water. There were no instructions for the washing machine so perhaps the book in the kitchen could be updated. Although we would not visit the cottage again it was a lovely cottage on a well maintained farm.

We are sorry you found our furniture ‘soft ‘ ….. As you mention , it is a personal opinion. We really can’t help that the bath uses water … I can’t understand your point ? We will look in to why washing machine instructions were missing …. You could have asked us ? We do find your scoring of our cottage a little harsh due to these very minor points, however , it is your opinion. Y Cwtch is a lovely cottage and maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. Our dog loved the country walls and footpaths, close to the coast and the nearest beach was 5 minutes in the car. Loved our break and would return tho it would be nice to book in at an earlier time.

Hi Gary , So glad you enjoyed Y Cwtch and had a great holiday . We are happy for guests to contact us if they require earlier check in and we will always accommodate if at all possible . We are also glad that you found plenty of lovely walks for your dog from the cottage. Hopefully , see you again . Regards Andrew and Anona Property Owner

Good holiday no good for dog owners as there isn't any were to walk the dogs

We have walks directly from our beautiful cottage and there are hundreds of local walks and all local beaches accept dogs. I watched you walking your 2 dogs from the cottage everyday around our 160 acres of land and local lanes. We do not understand why you state you were unable to find anywhere to walk your dogs. Therefore we feel your comments and scores are inaccurate and does not show a true reflection of our cottage with no further elaboration to your reasons. Property Owner

The lanes are very narrow for several miles so be aware you have to be able to reverse! The owners are on hand to help if needed. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need and always plenty of hot water . Can defantly recommend this lovely place

Thank you for your comments …. We are approximately 2 miles from a B road and on the main route to Newport Sands Beach. Although the roads are single track ( as most of rural Pembrokeshire) there are plenty of passing places on the roads . They appear slightly narrower at present as the council haven’t cut the hedges yet this year . We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and our cottage . Thank you Andrew and Anona Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback and so glad you enjoyed our beautiful cottage. We have rebooted the WiFi so is now working perfectly and checked the shower and changed the head so now works great. ( We always advise guests to inform us of any issues during their stay as most issues can be rectified). All the best, Andrew and Anona. Property Owner

  • "A lovely well equipped holiday cottage in a very quite location."

Extremely clean with everything you need. The only downside for us was that we could not walk to the local pub, as it was longer than expected and along a very narrow single track lane with bends. We had to drive everywhere which rather spoilt the holiday for us. The area is beautiful which some lovely beaches and countryside. Thank you for making us welcome.

Thank you for your positive feedback, and we are sorry that not being able to drive to the pub spoilt your holiday. We are in a rural location with country roads , which is in our cottage information. We wish you all the best finding somewhere nearer to a pub for your next holiday. Property Owner

  • "We had such a relaxing time at this lovely cottage."

It is very well equipped (more than any other that we have stayed in) and the cupcakes were very welcome once we settled in with a nice cuppa. There was more than enough grounds at the back for our dog to have a good sniff with a lovely walk at the side of the farm. Newport is only about a 15 minute drive but we found that nothing was too far away. When we come back to this area will definitely come back as it suited our needs perfectly.

  • "A stair gate would have been useful as we had to lay a dining chair over the bottom stairs to stop the dogs getting upstairs."

There was a number of information folders in the cottage which contained electrical goods info. How to deal with waste and recycling. Also lots of tourist info for the area. The owners were on hand on arrival day making us feel very welcome.

Thank you for your comments, the owner has confirmed there is a door next to the stairs which can be closed to prevent dogs from going upstairs. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back in the future. Thanks Again. Property Owner

It was very quite.....just what was needed for a great holiday. The dog walk around the farm went down well for first walk of the day. Everything that could have been thought of has been, even down to very nice cup cakes on the day of arrival. The bed was extremely comfortable and very large too. We absolutely enjoy our holiday and the cottage made it, we will be back, fantastic place and lovely people, with great eating places a short drive away.

Very friendly hosts. Stunning area. Plenty to do and see. Superb for walking. Very dog friendly. Great facilities, managed to make home cooked meals without a problem. Lovely big fridge to keep fresh food for the whole week. Great to have a door between the kitchen and stairs to stop the dogs trying to go up. Also a great area behind the door to store things away from the dogs. Fully enclosed back garden for the dogs. Really nice area for them. Very clear rubbish instructions and good selection of leaflets and information about the area. Our personal preference would be a more comfy sofa we could snuggle in, but just personal preference and the time of year......it is impossible to cater for everyone’s tastes.
