  • "Beautiful apartment overlooking a lake."

Peaceful and private. The accommodation itself was very clean, beds comfy, shower powerful. Lots of things to do from books, DVD's games etc. Hot tub was lovely after a day of exploring. The host was very good, little food hamper on arrival. Shops close by, nearest town was a few minutes drive with shops, restaurants. All in all a lovely stay and highly recommended.

  • "Lovely lodge on very quiet park."

Only 3 other lodges in sight and even then quite a way a way. Great communication with owners. Few bits need attention, nails upon decking, bathroom cabinet door won’t shut etc etc. But nothing that ruins a holiday. Highly recommend and the welcome pack was very appreciated.

  • "Oak Lodge was one of my favourite lodges we have visited."

It was sparkling clean when we arrived and has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is well equipped with cleaning supplies included, a range of DVDs and games are in the cupboards, and has a large TV with DVD and firestick so you can watch all your favourites on Netflix. The wifi was excellent and we had no problems with us all using it at the same time. The bed was super comfy and I slept like a log. My favourite thing about the lodge was the site. Unlike many sites, you are well away from other lodges and have your own "personal" pond at the front. We spent lots of time on the balcony feeding the geese and the fish (try it - they are like piranhas!). We also had a squirrel and a robin that used to visit us, and we regularly saw herons and rabbits. I was a bit worried having the pond may attract midges, but we had no problems with this. Narberth is just a mile away and has several restaurants and takeaways to choose from and is a nice little town to wander around. I would thoroughly recommend Oak Lodge.

The unexpected welcome pack of eggs, proper silver top milk, butter, bread, Welsh cakes and prosecco was a really nice touch We loved the hot tub as this is something the rain can't really spoil as there really is no predicting the British summer weather Make sure to buy some extra bread as we got "adopted" by a family of geese, plus all the other wildlife make this an extra bit of enjoyment whilst sat out on the balcony

  • "The site and the lodge definitely met our expectations."

We loved the picturesque view from the terrace especially the abundance of wildlife around the pond. My only criticism would be that the sofas are looking very tired and that the cleaning could be improved upon as there were several cobwebs on the ceilings. However, we really enjoyed our stay in this lovely area and would certainly recommend it.

  • "Upon arriving we were blown away with the lodge, location and the welcome pack that was left was lovely, thank you."

Such a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Everything you need is at the lodge, very well equipped. The bed was really comfortable but the pillows were not. The shower is brilliant in the en-suite, really powerful. Just felt a good deep clean would be beneficial as there were lots of cobwebs and thick dust. On the day we were leaving, I wanted to go into the hot tub for the last time as check out was at 10.but at 9 am a man was outside doing something to the hot tub so we couldn’t use that, it was fine. Then the cleaners turned up outside parked directly opposite the living room window looking straight in at us at 9.20am, it made us feel as if we were in the way. I appreciate they needed to get the lodge ready for the next guests but did feel really rushed. All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay snd would defiantly go back.

  • "A superb property."

I could not find any faults with this property apart from a couple of niggles, awaiting a part for the combi boiler where I had to top up the pressure quite frequently and a slight fault with the tv as the headphone socket did not work. Saying that it did not deter from the luxurious stay. The owner, Helen was contactable for any problems especially when the previous customers were late departing and we could not enter until 1700hrs. The idyllic position of the lodge was superb and spent many times looking over the lake. I would recommend this lodge to all Sykes customers with no hesitation.

The lodge is everything we expected, and even with some restrictions due to Covid, was a delightful place to stay. The view of the lake from the balcony was super and even the ducks were friendly coming for a visit regularly and a quack! Would recommend for a peaceful getaway, and some wonderful beaches and places to visit in the area. Will hopefully visit again next year.

Very comfortable and well set up accommodation with the added bonus of a hot tub. Close to Narberth and within easy reach of some stunning and relatively quiet (even in mid August) South Pembrokeshire beaches (Barafundle, Manorbier and Monkstone our personal favourites). Would highly recommend.

  • "We had a brilliant time, the lodge was spotless when we arrived."

It was one of the most chilled out breaks we have had, the lodge and surroundings are just so peaceful, looking out over the lake and its wildlife and a dip in the hot tub to round off the day. A number of takeaway in Narberth, which is a 15-20 min walk away and there are a number of good shops for supplies. For somewhere a bit busier Tenby and Saundersfoot are about 20 min away, but you come back to peace and quiet and a big glass of wine. The staff on site were very helpful and the owner very accommodating. Will certainly be back.

Sitting out on the deck watching the kingfishers, heron and baby moorhens go about their business in the lake was exactly the getting away from it all we wanted. The lodge is well located, close to Narbeth and within easy striking distance of Saundersfoot and Tenby. Also, the owners made contact before we arrived and were keen to let us know that they were available should we have any issues. Fantastic holiday.

The lodge was very nice with everything you could want, & was a lovely home from home, with everything you could want, however it could do with a bit of a refresh and update as some areas were starting to look a bit tired & dated & a few small items were broken/worn which just brings the standard down a little compared with other Sykes lodges we have stayed at elsewhere. It would benefit from a deep clean as well, & the outside tidying up a little just to make the most of the lodge & the beautiful setting it is in. Apart from that there were no issues and everything was smooth and easy, from finding the lodge and picking up the keys, to information provided, and the hot tub was checked etc. daily.

The hot tub is a real bonus and we spent far too many hours lounging on the decking soaking up the sun interspersed with long lingerings in the hot tub. The lodge itself is light and airy and really well presented with a homely comforting feeling. We had the best weekend there and we certainly had the weather for it. It is easy to walk into town, although didn't really find much to inspire us there except for an extremely well stocked Spa. But would love to go back - we all said we could live there! Thank you to the great hosts for being so helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

So pleased, as it met more than our expectation. The facilities were brilliant, provided washing up liquid, washing powder and cleaning facilities. Even dishwasher tablets for the dishwasher machine. Marion (caretaker I think) was very informative on our arrival and gave us some information regarding the walks. We went out everyday despite the occasional rainy weather and did lots of walking. Really worth having the 2 bathrooms as we had x2 teenagers with us. The ducks were a joy for my son, who thoroughly enjoyed feeding them. The decor of the lodge was lovely and very clean. The hot tub a definite bonus and quite private and quiet. Lovely and quiet area if this is what you like. Worth if you can make it going to the national park in newport and around Martins Haven. The shops initially we read was far, but we passed different stores on our journey and brought food then ie 24 hour Tesco, Co op and Aldi. The local Fish and Chip shop in Narberth, was fresh and lovely, worth getting. Would definitely return and hope weather fairs better for us.

Everything is luxurious, from the bed linen to the stylish ornaments, and includes everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is in a beautiful location, with gorgeous views of the ducks on the pond, yet also very private, with a lovely secluded spot for the hot tub (which we didn't realise from the pictures). It was exceptionally warm and cosy and we had a wonderfully relaxing stay with our two older children (so the second bathroom was a real bonus). We also enjoyed trips out to Tenby and Broad Haven, but were actually keen to get back to the lodge and the hot tub! Perfect lodge - highly recommend.
