  • "Quality house in an excellent position, only 30 seconds from Narberth's main street, yet away from the hustle and bustle."

    The house was well equipped and spacious, with comfortablle beds and chairs. There is a mild smell of damp in the entrance and small front bedroom, but no other sign of any problems. For a 'dog-friendly' house there was no dog smell, which is good for all non-dog people. (Though we avoided sitting on the sofa, which is clearly favoured by canine visitors.) The kitchen sink was glugging when we arrived, but unclogging the leaves that had collected in the garden drain (no cover) solved the problem. The garden, by the way, is ultra-private and a nice sheltered place to sit and catch a bit of sun. No noise whatsoever from the neighbouring houses, which we hopefully reciprocated! BUT...the traffic passing the house was incessant, leading as it does from northern Pembrokeshire to Tenby. If you live in a city and drive a car, you probably won't notice it though, and if you do, well, you can hardly blame others! Holidayers often wax lyrical in their reviews about Narberth, but there is way too much traffic passing right through the town centre for it to be a 'lovely' place. A long time ago it undoubtedly was! The castle ruins have been closed to all access for a long time, and the county council is infamous for doing a bit less than the bare minimum, so don't expect to see a reopening. There are other tiny bits of history about the town, but it's fair to say that Narberth is overhyped, at least in the summer - we stayed in the winter and it was much more pleasant. But if you're determined, Suffolk House is an ideal base.

  • "A generally lovely property in a delightful part of the world - great shops to explore and an array of places to eat."

    We would recommend Narberth to everyone. It was an ideal spot to tour the Pembrokeshire coast too. It's a dog-friendly town too which was wonderful - parking is a bit hit and miss. Special shout outs to the high street bakery "Rock and Dough" - amazing sour dough and pastries - and to "Hwb" - which is an amazing Street food experience. We would love to return to Pembrokeshire one day - we were sold on Narberth for sure.

  • "Getting in and out of the bath is tricky as it’s slippy."

    Ideally needs a handle on the wall. You can’t run the bath water, unless you actually. get in the bath now the shower screen is fixed in position. I would recommend bigger towels. Could do with oven trays, decent scrubbing brush for the washing up. Otherwise a lovely house.

  • "Suffolk House is absolutely perfect for a family stay."

    It’s cosy, however at the same time spacious enough for your own space which is ideal with teenagers. The house is immaculately presented, so tastefully done. Location wise fantastic. Great little town for shopping, eating out or just a wander. Beaches and walks a short drive away. We were very spoilt. IF I had to find a “negative” then it would be that there is no parking. Unloading/packing up requires stopping across the road with hazards on - however the main carpark 5 min walk away is only £3 for 24hr. It wouldn’t put us off returning, however to be aware. Thank you Suffolk House - we will return.

  • "Lovely, comfortable and homely property which catered to everything I required."

    Narbeth was great with lots of good shops and cosy pubs all within a 5 minute radius,the only thing that would have made this a better holiday would have been good weather

  • "We had a wonderful holiday and highly recommend this property."

    It had everything needed and was so beautiful and clean. The only thing we found would help us would be if there were a few instructions on how to use appliances. For example, instructions how to turn the heating on, the cooker, how to light the wood burner, etc.

The bustling town of Narberth is a delight to discover with its many individual shops, including upmarket boutiques, specialist deli grocers and unique gift shops, and a wide choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs can be found in and around the town. Queen's Hall, Narberth's leading cultural and arts venue hosts a variety of concerts, plays and events, which can be enjoyed throughout the year. Pembrokeshire is home to the UK's only coastal National Park, and the whole of Pembrokeshire beckons with the harbour and seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot close by, visit secluded sandy beaches, such as the acclaimed Barafundle Bay for a quiet relaxing day, or take in an invigorating walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast National Path.
