About the location

Crickhowell 4.9 miles.

Cwmdu is a great place to visit. The glorious Powys countryside is largely undiscovered by tourists so queues are rare and viewpoints uncrowded. There are many footpaths, quiet lanes and tracks in and around the village, with footpaths winding round the valley. At the centre of this picturesque village is the local pub and cafe, which have been run by the community since the year 2000. These amenities have led to the village being awarded a Countryside Alliance Award as well as attracting royal attention when Prince Charles visited the village in October 2009. There are stations on the Heart of Wales line in Llandeilo, Llangadog and Llandovery so you can go down to Swansea or up to Shrewsbury, appreciating the great views. Further afield lies Crickhowell; a picturesque town nestling in the beautiful Usk Valley and lying to the south of the Black Mountains with stunning scenery, walks and activities to suit all abilities.

This property will be pet friendly for bookings taken until the 3rd September 2018
