  • "Good place to stay."

The only thing letting it down is nothing to do with the cottage, it is the location, Newport to me is basically a busy crossroad with narrow roads and HGVs going down it. The best pub is the Castle but the prices are high but all the pubs are pricing themselves out of a return trip. I went in March and if they increase their prices that will be the final nail in the coffin for Newport.

  • "Morawel is a lovely house close to the centre of Newport which has good restaurants, shops and first class butchers."

The house itself is very well equipped, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. There's a lovely garden to sit in during nice weather with a summer house and games room for the kids. You are within easy driving distance to lots of wonderful coastal villages and of course the amazing coastal walks such as Porthgain, Strumble Head, Cwm Yr Eglwys/Dinas Head to name a few. All in all an excellent house to spend a holiday in Newport.

  • "Wonderful, clean house in a great location."

Rhiannon could not have done more to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the beautiful Christmas decorations. It was a shame that we didn't realise that the games room was not connected to the house and was not an insulated building. It would have been fine to use at any other time of the year, but our kids found it a bit cold to use during our winter stay. That said, we were grateful for Rhiannon immediately providing us with a heater to try and warm it up a bit!

  • "We loved every minute of our stay here."

It's the perfect house, perfectly positioned, perfectly appointed and just a couple of minutes from the lovely shops. Rhiannon was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We were extremely happy vacationers.

  • "I can’t think of any improvements that could be made to the property."

It perfectly fitted our needs and more. All potential needs had been addressed even though, given the age range in our party, they were various. From 76 to 10 weeks we were all comfortable and happy. I’m sure the 5 female graduates who occupied Morawel the week before us would have been satisfied too. Newport and its environs are wonderful and staying at Morawel proved to be the ideal base.

  • "Morawell is in an excellent position for anything you may want to do in Newport."

The house is spotlessly clean, cosy, and everything you need is provided. The games room is delightful and is an ideal additional room for those days that the sun doesn't shine (and for those when it doesn't of course). For those visiting out of season, the log burner is easy to light and maintain. The little office area is also really useful if you have to work whilst staying here. A great place!

Perfectly situated at the top of Parrog road so can walk to the sea and the town in minutes. Amazing walks from the cottage. Newport Pembrokeshire is my favourite place in the uk

  • "Fantastic Accommodation - Ideally located for beaches, walks, sunset and eating out."

Property itself had excellent facilities and was superiorly clean. Of particular note was the fact that the hard floors were spotless and had clearly been thoroughly cleaned before our arrival. This I am sure is down to the fact that the owners only allow check in at 5pm which is a small price to pay for such comfort. We loved our stay so much we booked for a week in 2023 even before we left! Hopefully the property continues to be maintained so that we are as comfortable next year as we were this! LOVED IT.

Beautiful, private, safe garden. Games room and conservatory were ideal. Newport is a lovely little town, everything is in walking distance, although we found it was better to drive round to Newport beach.

What made it extra special was the fantastic weather, so lucky to have had our week during the heatwave! We were really able to enjoy the beautiful garden and the conservatory/games room was a bonus. Thank you for a very lovely week.

  • "Very comfortable and charming house, spotless."

Had everything you would need. Lovely gardens and games room. Ideally situated, easy stroll to shops and pubs and great location for coastal walks. Owners very friendly and facilitated us by allowing us entry before 5.00pm. As we had to be at the ferry in Rosslare at 7.00 that morning and arrived in Newport around 12.00 noon, this was really appreciated. Earlier entry time is something maybe to be considered by the owners for travellers from Ireland.

The rooms are spacious and the numerous washing/toilet facilities are very welcome when you are holidaying with a group of friends. The property was spotlessly clean which is very reassuring in this time of Covid. The garden, conservatory and off road parking are all huge pluses. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
