  • "The house is in a great position."

    Easy walking access to coastal path, beach and local pubs. It was very quiet at night as on a lane, away from the main road that runs through the village. The garden was huge, not overlooked with lovely garden furniture. Communication with the owner prior to arrival was excellent and very helpful. The kitchen was particularly good - it had everything you could possibly need for cater for a large family. 3 bathrooms was a bonus. The only negative was the double bed which was pretty hard, but I understand that this is being replaced in the near future.

    The kitchen was well equipped and a great space to relax during the day, while the living room was snug and cosy in the evening. I will be booking Awel Deg next year, but maybe in the Summer when we can take advantage of the beautiful garden.

  • "The house was exceptionally clean, and very well equipped."

    The kitchen had everything you needed to cook up a storm, and everything felt good quality. The tumbler was a great help given the time of year, and it was toasty warm throughout our very chilly stay! One too many air fresheners for our taste (especially as it's so clean) but realise that may just be our preference. Would definitely recommend, imagine the garden is glorious in summertime.

  • "We have stayed several times and everything form the cleaning, to the fittings and the house itself are of an extremely high standard."

    The accommodation is also very comfortable, well proportioned and spacious with a large equipped kitchen. The view from the kitchen is superb, is very well equipped and the garden is ideal for dogs and families, spacious and plenty of quality garden furniture to relax on. The location is peaceful but also an ideal base for walking and sightseeing both locally and further away. Local pubs are great and the beach is fantastic. The owners are lovely, and very helpful to ensure you have a great stay, which we always have. Highly recommended.

  • "Awel Deg is a lovely bungalow situated in a perfect location, only minutes away from the shops and a short walk to estuary, despite this it is very quiet."

    The bungalow itself is light, airy and very comfortable with lots of beautiful touches, making it a very pleasant place to spend your evenings. The large enclosed garden was perfect for my active young collie to have a good run around safely. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back hopefully in the autumn.

    Situated within a short distance from the village centre where a warm welcome awaits at the local pubs. Lots of great walks locally. Lovely large garden and outlook. The kitchen area is well equipped it is a great space to relax, cook and eat and was our haven on some of the bad weather days we encountered during our stay. Looking forward to returning to the property later in the year to make use of the outside area.

    This cottage is absolutely beautiful. Exceptionally well equipped, clean, warm with a great size garden. It's right in the middle of the village but still quiet and peaceful. Will definitely book it again. Bubbles on arrival and the owners are contactable if you need them and are lovely.

  • "Absolutely fantastic week at Awel Deg!"

    The property and facilities were outstanding, it really did feel like a home from home and I wouldn’t hesitate to go again. The only tiny improvement would be to provide a proper mop and bucket for cleaning the tiled floor. With 3 children and a dog, being able to properly clean the floor is a must!

    The bedrooms are generous sizes and there are 3 lovely modern bathrooms. It was immaculate and homely. There is a large garden laid to lawn though it is not all enclosed. I would definitely recommend this property and as it is all on one level its ideal for everyone
