“An amazing location which would be difficult to beat in any part of the country.”

Not for everyone though - very remote and the road up to the cottage is very narrow. This wasn't a major issue for us but a nervous driver could find the last mile of the trip stressful. Similarly getting to and from the cottage involves a walk, either up or down a steep hill. Anyone unused to strenuous walking will have a bit of a shock. Once we had arrived we did think twice about getting in the car to go anywhere - simply because of the worry of encountering other vehicles along the route up/down hill. However, it's not put us off booking again - the cottage, the view and the location make those nail biting moments worth it! Might just be worth flagging this up a little bit more clearly in the description though. Other possible additions to enhance the experience - a docking station for music, and maybe catch-up TV, i.e. BBC iplayer. But certainly a gem of a place!

The property

This cottage, sleeping up to seven, enjoys a gloriously isolated position high on Dinas Mountain with views over Fishguard Bay from St Davids to Newport. Sat at the end a a three quarter mile long lane, it’s a wonderfully quirky property, surrounded by mountain land grazed by sheep and freely roaming ponies. The Preseli hills are great for walkers, as well as the coastal path and there are lots of lovely coves and bays to explore.
