  • "A real find for 4 women each wanting their own rooms and space."

A beautiful and spacious home in a very convenient spot to access shops, pubs, restaurants etc in Newport. Yet, it was quiet and peaceful with ample parking. After a few hiccups with the heating, everything was quickly sorted out with Glan Helyg’s friendly owners. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

  • "Great property with a new kitchen."

This is a wonderful property in a great location. It's right in the heart of the village with a stunning short walk along the coast path to the beach and the famed pembrokehsire coastal walks. The off road parking (for multiple cars) is a huge benefit. Our boys loved visiting the play park and skate park ,which are a minutes walk away, every day The property is comfortable and well furnished with lovely oak furniture and a bespoke wooden staircase. We can see the sea from a couple of the upstairs windows and dining room and the house has the Presilli hills as a back drop. The property even has a beautiful new kitchen. Everything that we needed for our stay was provided. Thank you for the wine- it was a lovely touch. We'll be back. We will be back!

We are so pleased you enjoyed yourselves! Thank you for the feedback. Property Owner

  • "Spacious and homely property."

Great get together for 4 couples. Good parking for our 4 cars. Very clean and well equipped. Would book again. Only problem was refuse. I would suggest a neat framed notice on kitchen wall above bins - ( Some bins need to be left by roadside on MONDAY eve for collection Tuesday. See Information book for details. ) Also list on each bin of what to include would help. This would avoid problems that you must be having. We can't be the only one's who didn't expect such an early weekly collection. Above information in book is hidden in long paragraphs and not highlighted.

  • "Its a lovely place and I would definitely recommend it to friends."

As a bit of positive feedback, the kitchen feels small and quite dated, which detracts a little from the rest of the house. It is fully functional, but tight when more than 1 person is working in the kitchen.

  • "The cottage was beautiful, well equipped and perfect for walks and exploring the area."

There was plenty of space for our family. There are a couple of things that I would add, a curtain over the front door, one of our party is not as mobile and preferred the walk in shower, but then had to walk through the hall to get back to her bedroom, and a curtain would prevent the neighbours seeing. Also the shrubs in the back garden I believe if kept shorter would allow a view of the sea. But all in all it was beautiful.

  • "The house was large and the layout was good however it was not clean!"

The carpet in the downstairs bedroom had dark dog hairs on so much so that when my daughter changed my grandson’s nappy he was left with dog hairs stuck to his skin. There was also dog hairs on the kitchen floor, ding floor, conservatory, stairs and hallway. The downstairs bathroom smelt of wee and the towels were musty. I spoke to the cleaner who was rude and abrupt. We paid £1600 for four nights and were offered £50 which we could not contest. To say we were very disappointed was an understatement.

  • "Good sized cottage in a great location."

Property is looking a little tired and in need of a redecoration. Some more basics provided would be nice, more toilet rolls, hand wash in all bathrooms and towels provided would be beneficial.
