  • "Great property in a perfect location."

Was very clean with lots of space and well equipped. Only slight issue was that the house was very warm so we needed to adjust the thermostat slightly. Better that than too cold however!

  • "Llys y Coed was a lovely spacious place to stay for 3 family couples and a 5 year old."

It was very well equipped eg plenty of crockery/glasses etc so the dishwasher could be utilised sensibly. We had 3 cars for a few nights but parking one on Parrog Road was really not an issue. Excellent location and would highly recommend.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Llys y Coed."

It’s a comfortable good sized house with plenty of living space on the ground floor. It’s a quiet location off a narrow lane which has very little traffic and is an easy walk into Newport and to connect with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The rear garden faces south and the patio area near the house is a sun trap for much of the day. There are several pubs and cafes in Newport. For essentials there is a small Spar supermarket, butchers and other shops. We particularly liked The Canteen which does excellent pizzas (eat in or take-away). The details state parking for 2 cars and this is definitely the case as the owners use the space in front of the house for parking (visitors to Llys y Coed use the parking area to the left of the house as you look at it). Cars have to be parked behind each other, which means juggling cars occasionally and it can be a little tight getting cars in and out at times, but nothing impossible.

For walkers the coastal path is only a 10 minute walk away!

  • "Really spacious and comfortable house, which accomodated 4 generations of our family including baby and a dog easily."

The enclosed garden was great and provided a further private space. Good location close to the beach, the coast and local shops and pubs. We all enjoyed our little holiday in Llys y Coed and Newport.

  • "Great cottage in a fab location."

Walkable to beach/pubs and eateries.Couple of minor grumbles, no hairdryer and no bbq( supriding as it is duchamp large property). Garden was lovely to relax in, but a lot of weeds on the patio/paved area, which could have been cleared in advance. Grass not cut on arrival, but done midweek( which seemed odd as property was empty 4days before our arrival). Overall lovely stay in a lovely part of the country with plenty to do and see

Hi Janet, Thank you for the feedback, we now have a hairdryer in the house, previous one sadly taken! The patio area has since been repointed, so hopefully less weeds now. The house was not empty prior to your stay and as it had been raining we had to wait until mid week to mow. Hope to see you again. Kind regards Jane Property Owner

  • "Beautiful property in a stunning setting."

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owner we met was welcoming and helpful, the property is spacious yet cosy, well equipped and extremely comfortable. It is ideal for families and smaller groups alike. The lovely enclosed garden has ample seating for guests and ensured our dog was safe. Close to the beach, eateries and general amenities. It’s also within easy reach of other towns, the coastal paths and the sea. Lots to see and do for all ages. We would all highly recommend a stay here.

Location is superb - minutes away from both Newport’s high street with its shops and pubs and Parrog beach for dog walks.

  • "Llys y coed is a beautiful property, very clean, comfortable and everything you could need had been provided."

It is a short stroll to the main Street where you can find several places to eat. We also enjoyed walking along the estuary which is very scenic. Th Owners of Llys y coed have put a lot of thought into making the property welcoming and we appreciated the wine and chocolates they left for us. As they live close by they are also around if you need any help or advice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in this beautiful area. We definitely want to return.

  • "Sykes are usually my 'go to' company for booking self catering holidays as they offer a good choice and agents are friendly, explain everything in detail and nothing is too much trouble for them to find out if you have queries."

This property was shared by two families and space and facilities far exceeded the description and our expectation once the agent had resolved our safety concerns for children staying there. Indeed the owner also introduced herself and willingly lent my son kayaks to entertain the children, which they absolutely loved. As well as wifi and television, which we did not watch at all, there was a good selection of games and books.Very family friendly and well equipped property with loads of space for children to play. The garden was beautiful and well tended. The only very small negative was continually having to refer to various lists to ensure everyone knew the correct recycling procedure and the fact that having rushed out at approx 0650 we entirely missed the collection, which was at precisely 0630!!
