  • "We chose Lyndale in an area we know well."

Short walks into the village and to the sea make it an ideal location. The layout of the house, terraces and lawn make for a very comfortable stay whatever the weather. Newport sands and the golf course are close by as are other favourites like Cwm yr Eglwys. Thank you Sam and Richard and thank you for the bottle too!

We are so pleased that you had a lovely time. Thank you so much for your kind words. |We do hope that you enjoy the rest of the summer. Property Owner

  • "The least welcoming house we have ever rented."

Lack of clean pans for cooking. Filthy barbecue. Outdoor furniture unusable all cushions soaked when we arrived. Latest arrival time and earliest departure time we have ever had. Will not use this property again.

Thank you for your comments, we are sorry to hear that your impression of Lyndale was unwelcoming as previous guests have really enjoyed their stay so it is unfortunate and disappointing to hear that you didn't have the same experience. We have checked our cupboards and found 7 stainless steel saucepans, 3 frying pans and 3 Le Creuset dishes and we are sorry if the previous guests didn’t leave all the pans and barbecue in a clean state for your arrival. The outdoor cushions are water resistant and designed to dry quickly when left in the open air and there is a large storage box to keep them in after use. We’ve found the seating is quite comfortable and usable even without the cushions. You may be pleased to hear that we have now changed the check-in to 4.30 and check-out to 10am. Thank you Property Owner

  • "Only minor glitch is the door key/lock which is beginning to fail."

Otherwise a wonderful house which feels like home!

Update - we have now replaced the lock - thanks for letting us know. Property Owner

  • "Great, social house- fab space and facilities."

We really enjoyed our stay, loved the sun trap at the top!! We would definitely come back as a large group. Only suggestions would be some dusting as lots of cobwebs up high- lamp shades etc and the advert made it sound like the beds were zipped together to make doubles but they don’t- they are only pushed together with single covers. Thanks for having us

Thank you so much for your suggestions. Cobwebs will be dealt with. I am so sorry. I am sorry about the single duvets. |We have gone down the French way partly because that is what I know but also we do not have the storage for so many different duvet sizes. I arrived today and found your parcel of coasters. Thank you so much for returning them. We look forward to welcoming you again. Many thanks Sam Property Owner

  • "The weekend was a surprise 70th birthday treat for Mamgu!"

And it did not disappoint. The house took three families comfortably. With four bath rooms plus the ground floor wet room and toilet, there was no issues with waiting to use the facilities! The kitchen was well stocked, making the birthday cake was interesting as there was only a tiny sieve for sifting the flour otherwise top marks (I'm nit picking here and it was comical watching them sieving!) A small DIY point, my wife and I had the back bedroom (fantastic view from the balcony by the way) but the bedroom door would not close, the door frame I think has settled and the top of the door needs a little shaving off. The lock for the on-suite door was out of alignment with the receptor - both quite easy to fix. I am really nit picking as we had a wonderful weekend, the first time our family have been together some time, so thank you for facilitating a special weekend.

I am so pleased that you had a lovely time. The kitchen now has a decent baking sieve and the doors are next on the list. Thank yo so much for letting me know. Many thanks Sam Property Owner

The house was a great base and a very accommodating holiday stay.

  • "The house was great, kitchen exceptionally well-equipped."

Lovely to have a xmas tree there. Lovely that the house was nice and warm when we arrived late evening. It is a very good place for a large family group - enough bathrooms for everyone, and big enough for everyone to get privacy when they wanted it.
