"Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious, well equipped and slightly quirky."
The garden provided a pleasant outlook to the rear.
The front of the property is only just off the main road but we were not unduly troubled by any occasional traffic noise provided the front windows were closed.
We thought the property was strictly no pets but notes & reviews suggest this may be incorrect. We didn't experience any other suggestion the property may be pet friendly.
A larger party should still be able find a good balance between communal and private space within this accommodation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadowlands.

"The road outside is undeniably busy and noisy, but this quirky cottage helps you forget that."
Comfortable, spacious yet cosy, well equipped, clean. With a very nice conservatory and back garden - we were lucky to have stayed there whilst the houses on either side were unoccupied, and I'm not sure I would have felt the same if I had to share the space with random strangers - one of the houses is VERY close (i.e. caravan park spacing).
By the way, if spiders bother you much, this is maybe not an ideal place - we were removing four or five cellar spiders (small bodies, long thin legs) a day. Minimal doggy smell, despite the place being 'pet friendly'.

"We absolutely loved our time at Meadowlands, it was brilliant!"
:) I personally don't think the photos do it justice it looked much better in real life for me.
There was plenty of room and space for us all, and as previously said everything you need to make great meals. Everything was lovely and clean spotless! My grandchildren loved house and garden and made the absolute most of being together. We did have bit problem with hot water but got it sorted. We would love to come back again a great base for visiting beautiful Fishguard, Pembroke Castel, Newport beach, Tenby, The British Birds of Prey Conservation Centre, St Davids and finally the Iron Age Settlement on our way home, very very sad to be leaving! :(

"Lovely clean and extremely well equipped property with farmland views from the rear."
The only drawback is that it is on the A487, busy in rush hour, quiet the rest of the time. We turned this into a positive as there was no long winding country lane to drive to a main road so trips out were quicker. We enjoyed the walk down to the Pembrokeshire Coast path and a small secluded beach (Aber Bach). We enjoyed exploring Fishguard and Goodwick just 3 to 4 miles south west and Newport and Parrog just 5 miles north east. Lovely harbours and beaches with great views. We are keen walkers so most days were spent selecting a section of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to walk along and then make the walk circular using more inland rights of way. Dinas Island was great for this, as was Strumble Head.

"Meadowlands was absolutely immaculate with both washing and drying facilities in the utility room."
A well laid out kitchen with superb cooking facilities and plenty of cooking equipment
All the bedrooms were simply furnished with confortable beds and crisp bed linen.
Both bathrooms had large powerfull showers that we all agreed were a big hit, especially with the children.
We all agreed that we would like to book again for next year

"Meadowlands is a spacious property conveniently located to reach many parts of Pembrokeshire that tourists may wish to visit."
It is very close to the next door detached bungalow.
The bathrooms are fresh, clean and modern with large shower cubicles. The bath did not have the right plug, and so couldn’t be used – a minor problem that we reported.
The kitchen has dated units, but some modern appliances like the oven, microwave. The utility room has Bosch fridge freezer, washing machine and drier.
WiFi has a very good download speed of about 500Mbps.
I feel that the carpets could do with replacing throughout with more modern flooring.
There is quite a bit of road noise during morning and evening rush hour, but almost no traffic during the night.
I feel that the car parking and garden areas could have signposts saying what part belongs to which property as the property next door is part of the same area. There are maps provided that give this information but not everyone sees them. We didn’t have any issues but I imagine that some could if they didn’t know where the could park or what garden they could use.
Garden bench needs cleaning or replacing.
Nice large modern conservatory
Local pub restaurants that you may like: Rose & Crown, Royal Oak, Castle. Sailor’s Safety Dinas Cross. Caffi’r Sgwar Maenclochog – a bit further afield but great value and quality.
Tesco and Co-Op in Fishguard are good for provisions.

"Very cozy, yet spacious enough to spread out, with two distinct areas in the front room, a huge dining kitchen and a large conservatory looking out on the bird-filled garden."
Immaculately clean, with good quality newly installed bathrooms upstairs and down, and a great range of facilities. After a few metres of pavement and a road crossing there is a safe 15 minute walk down to a beautiful secluded beach, and a path goes straight up the back onto the hills. Shops and restaurants are 10 minutes drive away in either direction, with a garage/shop and great chippy a mile away in the village. It is right by the main road, but with good double glazing we didn't really notice this and we'd definitley go again, we loved the place. I'd recommending updating the location map for accuracy for this cluster of 3 properties to avoid confusion. Many thanks!
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Meadowlands. We would love to welcome you back sometime in the future.

"A lovely site in semi-rural conditions but with easy access to the nearest town, Fishguard."
The cottage was clean and ready for us. Our hosts, Alistair and Marion were delightful. They were ready to welcome us and even provided fresh broad beans for our first meal. They were readily available if we forgot the keys or needed any information.
The local scenery is brilliant and beautiful and there are many things of interest for all the family.
Overall we had a wonderful week at the cottage.

"Much is made about guests communicating with owners, but owners don’t reply."
We had some small niggles and emailed the owner but got no reply. En-suite poorly laid out the basin is ok if your under 5.5 foot tall (I know this can’t be changed) and no adjacent mirror for shaving. The light in the conservatory doesn’t work this was a problem as the conservatory is a great asset and we wanted to use it to play games but couldn’t as it grew darker.
The cottage is well positioned for outings, shops, pub and chippie nearby.
It is very well equipped with pots and crocks. Large fridge and freezer. Although it is a little dated it is nicely comfortable.
Sadly, we did not receive any communications during your stay and would have replied if given the opportunity. There is a light with a shaving point and a good mirror, about 4 feet from the sink in the en suit and similar in the bathroom downstairs with a mirror. Old cottages with sloping ceilings do provide challenges. The lamp bulb in the conservatory may have needed replacing during the week - supplies of bulbs are in the kitchen sink drawer. There are also several table lamps in the house that could have been redeployed. However, we are both pleased that you and your family found much to enjoy. The countryside and beaches are resplendent at this time of the year.

"The cottage was very well equipped and provided spacious, comfortable accommodation for four adults."
The utility room was useful, kitchen well equipped and bathrooms were clean, modern and spacious.
The cottage was one of a group of four at the side of an A road but with open countryside at the rear. It was situated about 1.5 miles from the centre of the village which had two small supermarkets, a petrol station and two pub/restaurants (although one did not serve food during the Covid period and the other had limited opening hours).
We enjoyed the proximity of two small local beaches (although not walkable because of traffic on the A road) and a choice of several lovely beaches within a few miles.
Also, the Preseli Mountains provided some dramatic scenery. The whole area was superb and well worth visiting.
