  • "An ideal location, just a short distance to town and the beach."

A comfy, well looked after cottage with stunning views of the bay & sunset at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the family and our little dog loved it.

    Many thanks. Roger Property Owner

  • "Ty Cariad is a converted farm building about a mile out of Newport."

The house is comfortable with a modern kitchen, although some areas like the bathroom could do with an update. There are marvellous views from the front of the property, and attractive plant pots, but from our door at the side there was a messy area with sand heaps and building materials strewn around. Our host was very friendly and helpful if there were any problems. We had a most enjoyable holiday here.

I am glad you enjoyed your holiday and the views from the front of your cottage. I apologise for the ongoing work at the rear which is on hold until the end of the season so as not to disturb our guests. The work is the erection of a replacement shed holding solar panels which is our major undertaking to become net zero carbon footprint with our holiday cottages. The project should have been finished long ago but hold ups due to material shortages post covid has delayed it considerably. Most frustrating for us and evidentially you! As the only time our guests will see it is when they enter or exit the cottage we hope it will not detract from the spectacular vista from in the cottage and from the garden! Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage, just ideal as our base to explore North Pembrokeshire, sandwiched ideally between the coastal resorts and the Preseli mountains."

Perfect for our canine companion, Delilah, too Highly recommended

  • "Ty Cariad was an ideal and very comfortable base to stay and explore the delights of North Pembrokeshire, of which there are many."

Newport is only a short hop away, where there are a number of good pubs and eateries. Plenty of good walks on the doorstep or a short drive away. If you are taking a pooch , be mindful when booking, that they are only aloud in the kitchen/diner....the remainder of the cottage is strictly off limits. The owner Roger is a friendly and welcoming host. I'm sure we will return. Many thanks.

  • "Nice location for touring Wales coast, well equipped, spacious cottage with sea views and a great host"

  • "Property was as described, great location for coastal path and beaches with spectacular sea and coastal views from the cottage itself."

Roger was very welcoming and helpful, always around if we needed to check something with him, but unobtrusive. The living room furnishings could perhaps be updated in the next few years, but perfectly comfortable and a well equipped kitchen for cooking and preparing food, and a good sized fridge/freezer. Lots of good options for eating out in Newport and Fishguard. We particularly recommend the Castle Inn, but make sure you book!

  • "The property was all as described and then more."

The thing we noticed most was the peace and quiet followed by the wonderful view from the property and the sunsets were out of this world. For anyone wanting to be away from the crowds this is for you. Roger was the perfect host with knowledge of sheltered coves within walking distance. We give the location 6 out of 5

  • "The property was in need of certain cleaning aspects the removal of cobwebs and dusting in the lounge and bedrooms."

Also the the three steps up to the bedrooms needs a safety rail because the step height is above safety requirement ,other than that a very good cottage to stay in.

  • "Great place."

Could be made better with wifi in the kitchen. Would have liked to be left some milk and tea and coffee and one dishwashing pod just to get us started. Roger was helpful and not intrusive.

  • "Privacy of the cottage."

Nice outside seating area. Owner was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that it was a grass path along the road to the town not suitable for young children.
