"The house is very comfortable and well equipped."
It’s very conveniently located in the heart of Mumbles. I don’t actually think that the photographs fully do it justice. Mumbles has improved since we were last there and seems to be developing into a very nice small resort. A minor negative – the there two decent bathrooms, but you should be aware that they are not ensuite.
"This is a lovely property, beautifully and comfortably furnished and well equipped."
The kitchen is particularly well equipped with high quality utensils and good cooking facilities. It is a great location, very close to the sea, every bedroom has a sea view, and a only a minute or so from local shops and restaurants. We had a very lovely week long stay and would be happy to return again.
"Fantastic property, very well presented to a high standard."
Very comfortable, loads of space, all the facilities and support you could need for a real “home from home”….plenty of cutlery and crockery, and just enough personal touches to the decor to give the house some personality. Extremely well located, in easy striking distance of Swansea and also the delights of the Gower generally. Good public transport, we found the buses very reliable, and plenty of walking routes also.
Thank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback, we are so pleased that you had a lovely stay at the Headlands. We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner
"We had a brilliant stay at the Headlands."
The location is perfect and the house itself very comfortable and well equipped, with good quality bed linen and everything you need in the kitchen to cook properly. Very impressed that there was a blender, cafetiere and even a slow cooker. Good quality (Fairy) dishwasher capsules also provided and washing machine capsules too (although we did take our own Ariel). The house was very warm - I had to turn some radiators off - and there were two thermostats, which was a bit confusing! Swansea council are big on recycling - but the info folder includes details on what to do and when to put the bags out. Plenty of good restaurants, takeaways and pubs in the area and really handy for visits to the Gower. Only downside to the location is that there is a major project going on to preserve the promenade, but there is still room for walking - watch out for the cyclists who can get a bit stroppy if you or your dog accidentally stray into the cycle lane! We will definitely return for another visit when visiting our relatives again - highly recommend! :-)
We always aim to provide a high quality stay and thank you so much for providing us with a perfect score! We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner
"Superb location; excellent facilities - modern, wide-ranging; all aspects considered."
The boiler was reluctant to work, but the owner was on hand, and they will obviously rectify the problem.
Thank you so much for providing us with a perfect score it really means a lot! I'm glad that we were able to assist with the boiler, you will be pleased to hear that the issue has now been resolved! Property Owner
"Great location and lovely house which we highly likely book again for the family."
One issue is that we had to top up boiler each morning
We really appreciate that you have taken the time to provide us with feedback. It is lovely to hear that enjoyed your stay and will be back again soon. You will also be pleased to hear that the problem with the boiler has now been resolved! Property Owner
"Arrived and house had lovely decorations for Christmas, the heating had been set at 27 degrees so was unbelievably hot , tried to reduce heat but unable to, contacted owner, who informed us they were on holiday themselves."
They said they would contact plumber, but as we worked out ourselves it was just batteries in the heating display unit, so we replaced ourselves. The main bedroom double bed had a single quilt, which is not comfortable for 2 adults, didn’t contact owner as they had already told us they were on holiday themselves. A single quilt in a double cover is uncomfortable! The chest of draws were falling apart, a little attention to detail. Other than these things, we had a good holiday and Christmas, kitchen well equipped for cooking. Lovely table decoration left for us, thank you. We managed to do all our shopping without moving the car, which was great. I would book again because I’m sure these things would be put right.
We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are gutted the parts of your stay was not as expected. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We have investigated the items raised over the Christmas period. I am so glad to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay with us, we hope to see you again soon! Property Owner
"A lovely house, good facilities and space for 6 adults."
If you have more than one car be prepared to walk a bit as parking is limited nearby. Wasn't a problem - but could be a five minute walk away. We loved being by the sea and promenade...lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Recommend Mum Bales for beer!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay! We hope you stay with us again soon! Property Owner
"Perfect location, lovely home from home house, throughly enjoyed our stay!"
We have stayed in a few places in the Mumbles but this was by far the best. Conveniently located within walking distance of all the Mumbles has to offer and then short drive to explore the local beaches and Gower. Added bonus of parking. Highly recommend.
We are so pleased to hear that you had a lovely stay at the Headlands. Thank you for giving us a perfect rating. I hope your next stay is just around the corner! Property Owner
"The sofas were very soft with no back support."
Other than that, the house was brilliant!
Thank you for posting a review, and we’re sorry to hear that our sofa's did not match your expectations. However, we are so pleased that you were happy with the rest of your stay and enjoyed your time at the Headlands. We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner
"An amazing location and the property is beautiful."
We had a fantastic week. The only feedback would be to give a better explanation of the rubbish / bin situation. As it was completely different to our city we were a little lost, this resulted in our rubbish being left by the roadside. (We hadn’t realised we needed the strong bags so only put out the plastic bags) Lovely area and beautiful home.
Thank you so much for providing a perfect rating, this means the world to us! We have noted your comments and updated our welcome pack to provide further detail on the Bin / rubbish procedure. We hope this will mitigate any confusion for future guests. We hope to see you again soon. Property Owner
"Great location for beach lovers."
Limited outdoor space and problematic parking - have to reverse down the back lane off the main road, but otherwise very comfortable with excellent facilities.
We take pride to ensure that our guests have a relaxed and happy stay with us and really appreciate your positive feedback for the Headlands. We have noted your comments in relation to our allocated car parking space and shared driveway. We have updated our welcome pack to ensure that instructions are clear for future guests. "We had the most wonderful break over new year at The Headlands, it was absolutely perfect for 5 adults, a toddler and a dog!"
Perfect location, spacious, clean and fully equipped it was exactly what we needed! Can’t recommend this beautiful house enough, we will definitely be back! My two year old especially was in love with her ‘seaside house’
"We've just had a wonderful stay the headlands."
The property is in a prime location for shops and restaurants and also the beach/coast path. The house is very well equipped and tastefully decorated with good quality items with a very comprehensive information folder which we found very useful. It was beautifully clean and fresh looking when we arrived with some thoughtful items in a welcome basket. If you don't know the Mumbles it's great for accessing the rest of the Gower, we loved the beaches ! We'd love to stay again !
"Lovely place, with everything needed to have a stay."
Would be great if one room could be converted to an en-suite.
