  • "Had the most amazing time at the Cottage, the location is incredible, very well equipped with everything you need."

Couple of things to be aware of, when we arrived the padlock on the gate had been changed so we were unable to gain access, if you go to the campsite next door they will unlock it for you, after we arrived they changed the padlock so we could get in and out. Also there are no recycle bins at the property, obviously, you need to take it down the road where the shops are, there are no industrial bins just litter bins so take rubbish regularly! The 2nd bathroom is outside but does have a shower and toilet. Other than that we had a great time, and would definitely recommend.

  • "We stayed for a week over christmas, the cottage is lovely, clean and has a wonderful view , it is a dogs heaven due to being located on the beach, very cosy indeed and all the facilities you could ask for, kitchen well equipt but no microwave for reheating, the bed Was extremely comfortable and the children also said the same for there beds, downsides are, no logs for the fire indoors or out, no microwave, bedroom blind didnt work , looked threaded so we had to put a sheet up to the window, the parking is the most awkward thing ever, you have to go through a gate and lock it for unloading, then with your vehicle full of holiday baggage oh and christmas things tree ,decorations due to owners not putting up christmas decs ."

Food etc etc, you have to carry it down steps then across to the cottage which i know isnt too far, but far enough if you are not fit or have any sort of disability. My husband and two adult children did this and it took 10 trips . We had no reception at all on our mobile phones and we all have different networks so take this into consideration . Due to the season we went there wasnt any shops near by so make sure you take plenty of food etc in winter , when we left we wasnt able to use the gate so had to travel over a field to where the car was parked, belive me you dont want to be doing this , someone had changed the lock on the gate and replaced with a key padlock so we had no way of opening it. Apart from parking the cottage is lovely but i wouldnt go again , the whole family agreed on this as we also had to clean the property top to bottom before leaving and that took 4 hrs out of our holiday, we are very clean people and live clean and tidy so dont think we are durty or messy.

  • "What a beautiful house tucked in a stunning corner of the country!"

The house was so well equipped, everything was thought of from umbrellas, a super well supplied kitchen to connect four… We absolutely loved our stay, it was just wonderful to sit and have breakfast and watch the sunrise. We came to stay in December so it was pretty chilly but the house was toasty, the sky was clear at night and as the location has no light pollution, the sky was amazing to star gaze. Thanks for making some core memories for us all!

  • "We had a great and relaxed time."

Such a peaceful setting (ignoring storm Babet) in a beautiful part of the country. The sunrises were stunning. To step out of the cottage and straight onto the beach was very special. Lily our little dog just loves the beach. The cottage is really well equiped and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. It was a truly relxing beak. Thank you.

  • "Thanks for a lovely holiday."

The cottage position on the beach is amazing for a family holiday. The cottage is very comfortable, pleasant to be in, and very clean. Port Eynon itself is a wonderful location for spending time with kids. The WiFi was quite flakely - although for us it was a good thing as it meant children couldn't spend too much time on phones. The parking was a bit tricky but we works out that if we couldn't get back in then we could ask somebody at the youth hostel to move their car, so it was fine in the end.

  • "The property is in a really fabulous location and I think good for any weather, given the amazing views across the sea."

However, there were a number of downsides in terms of the cleanliness which could be easily resolved. We found leftovers from previous stays, dirty dishes & considerable dust in the house. The condition of the property was not great in places (a broken lock on the back door, an exposed screw, lots of flaking paintwork). Also, I think future holidaymakers should be aware that the property does not offer any rubbish collection or recycling, which I have never had at any other UK property. The property manual asks you to drop your waste in public bins further in town instead, which was a disappointing discovery given the price of the rental.

  • "Every other feature of this cottage takes second place to its amazing location."

Right on the beach and you can hear the ripple of the waves at high tide. It is, though, a bit of a stretch to claim that it sleeps 7 - 4 or 5 would be a comfortable maximum for most groups, and even then, 3 would have to sleep in the bunk room (a double bed with a single bunk on top). Because of the location, some minor compromises are necessary (e.g. parking) but it's all fine, really. We had a fantastic time and will absolutely come again!

  • "Great property."

Incredible views and setting and beautiful comfortable interiors with everything you could need and want. The only reason I didn’t give maintenance 5 stars is because the back door was faulty during our stay. This was handled very well by friendly and helpful maintenance staff. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • "The cottage far exceeded our expectations."

It was extremely clean, well stocked to meet our needs and decorated to a high standard. Directions and information was clear and correct so we knew what to do and expect and the position of the cottage towards one end of the bay was ideal. We went in February when there were very few other visitors to the bay which was what we were looking for. I am not sure how privacy and peace would be during the high season especially with the near by camp site. Saying that, I would definitely recommend and return.

  • "Getting to the cottage was difficult and would be impossible for anyone with a disability, we had to drive down a very badly maintained track and then cross a field before carrying all of our luggage and food etc a few hundred yards to the cottage."

The second bedroom was set up primarily for children being bunk beds as we were two adults the adult sleeping in the second bedroom had some difficulty getting in and out of the bed without hitting their head.
