“Overall very happy with our holiday booking”
“Loved our holiday at Knoll View, well equipped cottage, very secure garden for my dog.”
Wonderful view out of kitchen and bedroom window of the estuary and beach. Newport is a beautiful small town with dog friendly pubs and restaurants. The only slight niggle, the bed was very soft. Graham, Angie and Bailey (the lurched)
“The beautiful view & good location made this a good base for your holiday.”
Bed too soft & uncomfortable. Cleaner needs taking to hand notified owner.
Thank you for your comments. I am glad to hear you enjoyed the views and location of the property. I am sorry to hear you found the bed uncomfortable in the property, I have had many compliments on the comfort of the bed and would put this down to personal preference. In relation to the cleaning of the property, I check this on every changeover and make sure it is to a good standard. Thanks Again. Sykes owner relations
“Location was excellent.”
“Loved Knoll View.”
Perfect location, views even from a very secure dog friendly garden which we enjoyed eating out in! Newport is a lovely village with plenty of cafes, pubs, local produce shops. The walk down to Parrog was easy, and views were breathtaking! The photos of the cottage do not do it justice, and hardly noticed the road, not busy at all. We enjoyed visits to many local beauty spots including Ceibwr Bay, Mwnt, Llangrannog, Solva, St Davids and Tenby and were very lucky to have a week of beautiful weather. Can't wait to return!
“Lovely cottage and Sykes booking was excellent”
“The cottage was wonderful and really dog friendly.”
It is on a main road but there is little noise and the garden is extremely secure with no chance of dogs escaping. It was more like a home than the average holiday cottage and quite spacious for two people and two large dogs. The cooker was brand new and everything worked. The central heating was brilliant and not on a timer so we could have it on whenever we were in. The water was boiling hot and the shower was excellent. These things matter! We liked it so much that we booked another week before leaving. We've never done this before!! Newport is lovely with beautiful walks and friendly natives. Good pubs and restaurants and chintzy shops - although it is possible to buy most things you need if you look hard (and at a price!) Supermarket in Fishguard. The whole area is delightful and we are looking forward to our next visit.
“Lovely little place with great walks and very secure garden for the dogs”
Booked last minute, but what a find! Amazing location with great views of Newport beach, very dog friendly, beautifully furnished, clean & comfortable - really hope to return
“Views from the cottage are stunning of the local beach.”
Enclosed garden was great for the dogs.Owner next door very friendly & approachable.Great location to explore pen from .
“Beautiful little cottage in a great location, very well equipped and spotlessly clean, a total credit to the owner!”
Just 5 Minutes walk to the village with lovely little shops, art galleries and pubs, and about 10 Minutes from the pretty little harbour. There's so much to see and do, and the owner is very helpful and knowledgeable about Newport and surrounding areas and places to visit. Then back to the cosy cottage with its stunning sea views and beautiful evening skies! Absolute bliss!!
“What a find.”
A beautiful little comfy cottage with stunning views from the Kitchen and from the bedroom. Everything was there to make it a great holiday, even the weather was fantastic. This is a wonderful area and the beaches are to die for. Brigitte the owner, was on hand but never interfered, to check we had everything we needed. All in all one of the best cottages we have stayed in. Much is made of the fact that it stands on a main road but anyone that lives in an urban environment would be pleased at the quietness. It didn't detract from our stay at all. The only negative is the awful pictures on the Sykes website! Taken on a misty day they do not show the big feature which is the view. I had viewed it on google earth and that was on a sunny day with the view in all its glory. I wonder if there would be more bookings if these were changed?
