Swn-y-mor is lovely. It's great that there is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs as I didn't fancy the stairs up to the first floor.

The property

This charming double-fronted cottage is located in the South Wales village of Pembrey close to the beach and the harbour at Burry Port.

Pull up outside the cottage and you will be delighted with your choice.

With an interior small porch leading into a welcoming sitting room with a gas woodburner-effect fire you will start to relax straight away and enjoy your holiday.

Step into the bright and cheerful kitchen with its large range cooker and American-style fridge/freezer and you will find all you need to conjour up scrumptious meals or appetizing picnics to take to the beach.

The ground floor bathroom acts as an en-suite to the superb bedroom but can also be accessed from the kitchen.

The unusual spiral stairway in the sitting room leads directly into a second king-size double bedroom tucked up in the spacious eaves with an en-suite basin and WC.

The sunny aspect in the rear garden is a delight especially when the apple trees are in bloom and alfresco dining or an evening glass of wine will be greatly enjoyed here.

At such a charmingly romantic and welcoming property you may well spend much of your holiday here, but venturing out just a little will offer superb days out.

Will it be building sandcastles on the nearby sandy beaches, practising your swing at Ashburnham golf club, or visiting beautiful nature reserves?

Alternatively, you can enjoy a day at the races, both horse racing and motor racing are nearby, try a spot of skiing on the dry ski slope, or take it more leisurely with a walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or cycle on the Millennium Coastal Path.

With so much to offer and at such a wonderful cottage, you will be planning a return visit soon.
