  • “The house was comfortable, spacious, clean and in a great location.”

The kitchen was well stocked with plates and cutlery. There were a few issues that could use some TLC that could be easily fixed and improved for the next guests. The kitchen was well stocked with plates and cutlery. There were a few issues that could use some TLC that could be easily fixed and improved for the next guests. The oven in the main kitchen does not work, the downstairs annex kitchen has no electric sockets for the microwave, toaster and kettle. The only thing that was functional was the fridge and oven. The oven was very clean and useful as the other oven didn’t work. The annex smelled very musty and damp so we couldn’t sit in it. When we used the extension lead in the annexe for the kettle it blew the extension lead so not useable. In the main lounge the DVD player has a scart lead but the back of the TV doesn’t have a scart point so we couldn’t use the DVD player. The dog managed to escape the garden and get out onto the street in the corner near the road, so please be careful if you have a dog. The main bathroom is dated but the shower works well. The jets on the bath don’t work. The en-suite shower in the main bedroom is not draining properly. Two of the lightbulbs in the dining room have blown. Also bulbs missing in the lounge wall lights. In the garden the bay tree outside the kitchen window if trimmed would mean you could get a sea view. The bench was broken and not safe. We couldn’t work out how to get the lights on in the conservatory. I mention these things because I know the owners are not local and I suspect they are not fully aware of these issues. Overall comfortable stay and good location but room for some improvements. We would come again.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with feedback. It is is great to hear that you enjoyed your holiday in Strawberry Gardens and would like to return. I can reassure you and all our guests that we read and act on all our feedback. We were surprised that you did not contact our property manager about the oven not working at the time of your stay as this would be something she would have checked on immediately for you. The oven has been checked and it was and still is working. I can also reassure guests that there are electric points in the supplementary kitchen downstairs and an extension lead is not required. All the other points raised have been put right immediately or will be considered in our annual refurbishment this year. Diolch yn fawr Property Owner
