    Mr Atkinson

“Penddaulwyn Uchaf is set in a wonderfully peaceful rural location with views across fields to the hills beyond.”

We stayed for three nights and found the cottage comfortable - good wi-fi, mobile and TV reception were a bonus. It provided us with a good base for exploring castles and coast. The hills would also have been within easy reach if the weather had been better! The owners lived next door and were very welcoming and helpful.

The property

Situated on an old farm overlooking the Towy Valley, with countryside surrounding, Penddaulwyn Uchaf is an annexe to the family home, light and airy for the summer months, yet snug and cosy come winter.

Perfectly suited for couples or a small family, this cottage is a wonderful place to return to, comprising of an open-plan living area with a sofa, two arm chairs, and a modern kitchen, taking you away from the hustle and bustle.

The bedroom upstairs is graced with oak furnishings which off-set the white decor wholeheartedly, and natural light fills the room, creating a nice and bright place to wake up to.

The characterful ceilings and stairway add a glimpse of charm to the property, dominating the layout around to the classic shower, also tucked away onto the first floor.

Wander outside where you can spend some well-deserved time in the sun, as you relax on the patio areas, or gather everyone for a barbecue under the stars.

The market town of Carmarthen is approximately four miles away, it is home to a selection of modern and traditional shops, restaurants, supermarkets, a leisure centre and cinema.

Close by are the Pollen restaurant and Wrights Emporium, both of which have excellent reputations.
