“Wonderful house in the best spot!”

Beach is amazing. We fished, walked, explored then warmed up in the pub. Would love to go back again

The property

Right on the beach front in Pendine, Carmarthenshire; this large property offers plenty of living space and fabulous sea views from almost all the rooms.

The owners' great grandfather fell in love with Pendine when he was commissioned to build the sea wall. Pendine Sands is a 7 miles stretch of flat sand famous for world land speed records including Sir Malcom Campbell in 1924 with Bluebird and Idris Elba’s flying mile in a Bentley Continental in 2015. Of course events like that don’t happen every day and it’s a beautiful beach for relaxing or walking whatever the weather or time of year.

Pendine village has a few shops (some are seasonal), as well as a welcoming pub and restaurant. Carmarthen, Laugharne, Saundersfoot and Tenby are all within a half hour drive.

About the location

PENDINE

Tenby 15 miles.

A delightful seaside village with a seven mile stretch of sandy beach, famous in its history for car racing and speed record attempts. The fateful car ‘Babs’, the driver of which was killed in one of the many speed record attempts, was buried in the sands for many years, but has now been dug up, restored and is often in the local museum for all to admire. Even the famous Amy Johnson used these perfect flat sands to take off on one of her many record flights. Steeped in history, these sands are perfect all year round, whether sunbathing, swimming and kite flying. With local pubs and restaurants serving good food, a café, a grocery shop and gift shops, Pendine is the perfect seaside village. Nearby, the attractions range from Dylan Thomas' famous boathouse, where he penned so many of his literary masterpieces, castles, more sandy beaches, hidden coves and the vibrant seaside resort of Tenby, with Caldey Island and the majestic monastery a short boat trip away. A stunning location for exploring this beautiful part of Wales.

Note: There are 4 nearby caravans with shared use of the gated drive.
Note: Strictly no parking on the sea front at any time.
Note: Please bring your own beach towels and cot linen.
