  • "Lovely setting however, cleanliness was lacking."

empty bottles of cleaner in cupboard, loose rice on shelf. Thick cobwebs throughout, skirting boards full of dog hair. Rubbish strewn in the outside space, broken trampoline. Would have been nice for a welcome pack. We have been to lots of cottages and this is the only one not to do this. This is constructive critism for the price, you really need to address these issues. this is a quick fix. Helen

  • "A lovely stay at Beekeepers Cottage."

Very peaceful surroundings where you can just relax and unwind. Sadly the weather wasn’t always great (Storm Agnes thrown into the mix) but we manage to visit a few places on the better days. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable which still made those ‘days in’ enjoyable. We had one issue with no gas or hot water but this was swiftly rectified for us. The homemade welsh cakes were lovely too! Thank you!

  • "This was our second stay at Beekeepers Cottage and once again it did not disappoint."

This is a lovely, homely cottage in a great rural location but still handy for all our favourite places in the area, Tenby, Freshwater East, Stackpole, Angle. It was lovely to return to the cottage and relax after our days out in the sunshine and a special treat was the homemade, delicious welshcakes!

  • "Good location for exploring Pembrokeshire, but… Tired, tatty and not very clean."

Unsafe in places (rusty, broken handle fixings on bath, and broken stair gate). Sofa and cushions dirty and ripped in several places. Lumpy, saggy mattress. Feels like a place the owner stores things they no longer want (toys and household items). Cracked sink in bathroom. Poor WiFi and no power for several hours on 2 days of our stay. No radio or cd player. Could be so much nicer than it is.

  • "The cottage offered everything we needed but some areas were very tired looking and repairs required."

Handle missing off bath made access difficult. Could not use the oven as it was very dirty and produced black smoke when tried.outside furniture needed tidying up with some wood treatment and bench was broken. Bar stools far to high and 2 damaged.nick nacks around cottage made it homely but some if these were rusted and very dusty.

  • "The cottage is in a nice location."

But it is in need of some tlc. The bathroom tile grouting is grubby and the step into and out of the bath is awkward as it is very high. The sink is cracked (I believe this was noted in a previous review). The kitchen is well stocked. The owner made us some Welsh cakes which were very nice.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-nights stay at the Beekeeper’s Cottage."

Located on a small hobby farm, just a few minutes drive from Pembroke, Wales. The pet-friendly cottage is well equipped with everything my wife and I needed for a comfortable and romantic stay. In fact, it was so cozy, we almost chose to remain indoors the entire time just to soak in its peaceful and cozy ambiance. That said, we did make day trips to the seaside villages of St. David’s and Tenby, both which are about an hour drive away in opposite directions. We would definitely choose to stay here if we’re event in Pembroke again.

Bed was warm and comfortable, bathroom fine, but rather a deep step when getting out of bath/shower. Peaceful surroundings, with plenty of room for the dog. Easy access to many places of interest. Host provided us with a sample of her delicious Welsh cakes - Thank you!

  • "The property suts in a gorgeous part of Wales, with so much to see and do."

However the property was not very clean - dust, dirty velux window. There were a number of broken items in the bathroom - sink cracked, bath handle missing. The standard of refurbishment was poor - floor laid downstairs with large gaps, terrible creaking from the floor boards upstairs. Double bed really uncomfortable.

Cottage is spacious and comfortable; owners are friendly and helpful. Good location for all that Pembrokeshire offers - beaches, national parks, castles and history. Good mobile phone signal (O2) and we're not heavy social media or streaming service users, so internet perfectly adequate for email, texts, Google maps, web browsing and even phone updates. Well equipped, including washing machine (not mentioned in description).

  • "Great holiday."

Lovely quaint cottage and good location for beaches and castles. Comfortable and welcoming owners the Welsh cakes were gorgeous. Would suggest a rearrange of sofas as hard to see tv in their current position. Another suggestion would be a coat rack as there is nowhere to hang coats. We were lucky with the weather being dry but if it had been set this could have been a problem. We really enjoyed our stay at Beekeepers and hope to come back again next year.

Thanks for your comments, there will be coat hooks provided and the sofas will be rearranged, thanks for letting me know. Property Owner

However the fridge was very small. Lots of cobwebs that could have been hoovered up. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and the radiator was rusty. Sofas were comfy and location was great as very quiet. Good access to walks and nearby villages.

Many thanks for your feedback. I can confirm that the fridge is a standard size and I have not had feedback about this previously. The upstairs has been redecorated apart from a small hairline crack in the basin. The radiators have also been repainted.I am glad you found the sofas comfy. Property Owner

We spent a lot of our time on the patio outside the home, as the weather was amazing!! We made friends with the families two wonderful dogs and there two horses, the golden lab they have would escape to come and say hi, there were a few days we would wake up to the dog sat by the door waiting to see us. The home is very close to Pembroke Castle, 20 - 25 min walk through some wonderful countryside and through the main town, so many wonderful shops to walk around and everyone we met always had a smile on there face and were so friendly and happy to stop and chat. On our last day the family made Welsh Cakes for us to eat on our journey home, they were still warm when they brought them over.
