The highlight of our stay was definitely the warm and friendly welcome we received from the cottage owners, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. • "We loved our week away - what a gem!"

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, even though the pictures are great. A very warm welcome from our hosts, with welcome pack and they assembled and made the cot for our baby too - super helpful! Gorgeous location and very quiet. (The sheep are asleep at night). So peaceful. So much to do in the local area - local town Llandeilo is really nice, lots of castles to explore, Beacons on your doorstep, various Gardens to visit. Abergorloch forest and village was great with fab local pub. Lots of other nice eateries and farm shops around too. Gower is only 1 hour drive for a bit further afield. Lots to do in the local area, really great part of Wales.

It was a great pleasure to have such nice pleasant people staying at our cottage I hope we shall see them again sometime soon Property Owner

  • "One of a kind for stunning views, this tranquil cottage is nestled in gentle, rolling countryside."

Sheep grazed close to the raised patio at the back where a panorama of trees float off into the distance, as far as the eye could see. On good days, the patio is a suntrap ideal for private sunbathing. It is also a great location for a cup of tea or glass of wine. Of the many holiday venues we have ever stayed in, this is the cleanest - right into all the corners. Hot water was plentiful and heating effective. Furniture and beds were comfortable and the rooms were very airy and spacious. There was ample cutlery, crockery and glasses. As we never use a microwave, cooking utensils felt a bit limited. The owners were helpful and careful to respect our privacy. This is a great cottage in a unique location. Highly recommended.

Glad you enjoyed your stay the views are here always but the cooking utensils are what is usually needed as most people eat out anyway but I'm sure we could have done better if we had realised you wanted more thanks for staying with us Property Owner

The cottage had everything we needed and we felt that the photographs actually didn’t do it justice. The kitchen is a great space and we loved the little outdoor area and our little one loved watching the sheep which come right up to the fence. Beautiful views from the deck and we were fortunate with the weather so got to enjoy it. Owners are close enough if you need anything and we’re very friendly. If you’re travelling with a little one there’s a wooden mothercare highchair and a cot although we took our own cot so didn’t use that.

The only 'complaint' would be that the duvet/bed cover is not warm enough and could be a bit bigger and warmer. A small kitchen knife would also be very useful. Otherwise the cottage is perfect and we will definitely be back to stay a third time.

Friendly owners live opposite but the cottage felt completely private with the best feature being the sunny outdoor terrace. This place has such a good aspect to watch the sun set! We always look for homes that DON’T do pets as we get fed up of all the hype around animals & this was reflected in a very clean & fresh-looking cottage. Yes, the lane in is lengthy, hilly & narrow but worth it for being away from all the hullabaloo! Take your own bath towels ( hand towels & teatowels were provided) & there’s no welcome pack....

Surrounded by sheep and their lambs, in the field right outside the veranda, was a real treat and we even gave names to a few - they were such characters. The cottage owners, Pat and Alan, were very hospitable. We had a lovely, peaceful, relaxing break away from the concrete jungle in which we live. We have stayed in many cottages and we rank this as the best ever - in fact we liked it so much we could live here permanently ! You soon get used to the narrow country lanes - it really is a completely different world here where you can escape back to nature. Nearby places to visit - National Botanical Gardens, Dan Yr Ogof caves ,Brynamman Cinema- a delightful cinema built in the 1920s and luxuriously fitted out with latest films at absolute bargain prices,Myddfai,Mumbles and Lyric Theatre in Carmarthen.
