  • "Absolutely loved our stay very peaceful wonderful location highly recommended staying, the owner and friends were very friendly and kindly gave us some home grown courgettes from her garden, much appreciated."

On a whole no issues to complain, but maybe a handheld cordless hover would be a good addition for day to day cleaning while staying.

The property has all the facilities you will need for a short stay. It is in a lovely location very close to the National Trust beaches and properties, they are only a very short drive by car or if of the energetic type the Stackpole estate is walkable. Some fantastic walks along the Pembroke coastline, the lovley Freshwater West beach is a short drive away. All dog friendly walks and beaches.

  • "Property needs updating with especially the very poor water supply, lack of pressure."

Fridge probably on way out as either too cold or not cold enough. Kitchen floor not cleaned, dog hair evident and some crockery needed washing. Shower doors don't close properly and instruction to use setting 1 gave only cold water, setting 2 was fine. TV stations are all over the place so difficult to locate. Garden is unusable and steps and ivy make it rather dangerous to access. Foliage in driveway needs cutting back significantly as car sensors go mad when trying to park. Could be so much better with a little TLC. Position is great for beaches etc. which is why we picked it.

  • "First a word of warning!"

sat nav took us a strange way because its maps are out of date, but Google maps on the phone worked fine! Down a private road so that may have influenced the satnav. Lovely property with a friendly owner there. Compact yes but for two and a dog just fine. Plenty of kitchen equipment and walm with the heating on and other heaters if needed. The owner was helpful with advice of where to go locally, and had a few tales to tell about the history of the building and elsewhere. Free range eggs on sale, brought us mushrooms from the fields for us and we left with a bag of apples! Her dog, Dibbles, and our Bella got on well too. Planning to return.

  • "Nice property probably in need of TLC as the bed is very springy and creeks so much, the shower is very small and the doors don’t close properly leaking water into the floor, there is no phone signal at all on any network so heavily dependent on Wi-Fi."

The courtyard is very wild & full of plant pots etc encroaching on usable outside space which is very limited. The hidden garden was very wild and uninviting. The biggest problem for us was the water pressure as it was very poor especially in the kitchen sink. There is limited privacy outside as the owner has her entrance near the front gate of the little dairy therefore we were overlooked every time she & her guests came & went. Please don’t get me wrong this place can became a really nice remote secluded place once the owner invests on bringing it to a standard where the asking price we paid can be justified

Nowhere to dry damp towels or anything else. Would have liked a hoover rather than a brush to vacuum sand and debris. Owner was extremely helpful and so welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay apart from the general damp feeling.

  • "It was a good holiday thank you."

Only one 'niggle' was the noise on one evening from the Military area nearby - we had seen six huge tanks being transported in and on the Tuesday evening the noise started at about 6pm and finished at 11.20pm. It was a bit frightening at times, whenever the bangs sounded the whole house shook, presumably from the tanks firing and made me jump every time. There had been occasional bangs up to that day but nothing like the continuous bangs and machine gun fire - we had obviously chosen a bad week when their manoeuvres were on - it sounded like being in a war. Thought I would mention it - although would not wish to cast any aspersions on the property which was great and seeing the puffins on our visit to Skomer Island was incredible. We both enjoyed the courtyard outside the property which was nice to sit in in the sun. Thank you.
