  • "The positives- good location, nice peaceful flat, gorgeous balcony which was an absolute suntrap with a lovely green view."

    The negatives-entry way is intimidatingly filthy, most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on. Also, real lack of the little, inexpensive touches that make such a difference to your arrival and stay. I’ve only really stayed in air bnb’s and this is my first Sykes experience so maybe they just don’t do it. But not one dishwasher tablet, less than 2 rolls of toilet paper, no kitchen basics like oil. Small things that you always get in an air BnB and make such a difference.

  • "The apartment was in a fantastic location, with great parking, and was generally a good size for two adults and two teenagers."

    The kitchen was clean and tidy and had everything you could need for your stay. There were two main issues for us. Firstly, the furniture was quite uncomfortable. The double bed in particular was very noisy and unfortunately made for a pretty poor night’s sleep. I completely appreciate that holiday apartments need durable furniture that can withstand plenty of use, but it would be nice if it could be at least a little bit comfortable! The second, and biggest, issue was the amount of dog hair. We knew when booking that the apartment was pet-friendly, so we expected there might be some, but it was honestly everywhere. All of the chairs were covered in it, and you had to wear shoes indoors because your socks would end up covered in hair. The rug had so much hair on it, it should probably have had four legs and a tail! Overall, the apartment had a lot going for it, particularly the location, size, parking and well-equipped kitchen, but the comfort of the furniture and, especially, the cleanliness regarding pet hair really let it down.

  • "Very nice first floor apartment in a complex of holiday apartments."

    Designated parking place for one car. Plenty of space and decent facilities. Large open plan kitchen / lounge, large balcony. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both good sized and a well appointed toilet and shower. A short walk down to the seafront and beach (bit of a climb back up though!)

  • "The location was very peaceful and only a few minutes from the town centre."

    A green outside for the dog to walk on was also a bonus. The accommodation had everything we needed and the balcony overlooking the gardens was lovely. A perfect getaway, thank you.

  • "We enjoyed our stay very much."

    stayed in March and it was very quiet with not many other visitors about. one of the important things for us was having a parking space, these are allocated with a number and so available for the property. Guidance on how to find the place was clear in the emails received and an information pack was on the table when we arrived to help with general where and how things worked. Very clean and tidy apartment.

    Really enjoyed our stay, inside property was very clean and location was perfect with a 5 minute short walk to the centre of saundersfoot, we will definitely use this property again Only suggestion to improve would be addition of curtains in the bedrooms as blind allows light in from the outside ( next door’s external lights) and the balcony could of done with a sweep & old rug removed

  • "The flat itself is exactly as described, lovely place."

    Location is fantastic. Everything we needed was provided. However, when we entered the flat it smelt like smoke, the double bed's duvet smelt like cigarettes and is uncomfortable. We ended up staying in the twin room as couldn't stand the smell. The shower is also very weak even with switches on etc.

  • "Location of the apartment was very convenient for the town, beach, shops etc and it was quiet too."

    The parking was a bonus. Internally the apartment had everything which you needed and was well equipped. The general household cleaning was adequate, however we had several issues with general maintenance and outdoor cleaning ( dirty and debris left on the balcony). The inventory had not been checked by the maintenance and we had to buy a new tin opener and batteries for the TV remote. The mattress protectors were badly soiled and the bathroom needed some general maintenance repairs. All of which we took photos of and reported both to the cleaners and Sykes. The owners offered a small remuneration to us having to purchase items and also as a guesture if goodwill. However, our 10 day stay , which we thought was expensive, was rather spoiled by the shoddy building maintenance.

  • "This could have been such a good place to stay, but everything was in need of a clean and some maintenance."

    Walls and doors frames had a build up of dirt and scratches. There were holes in the bathroom door and wall. Some dishes and glasses were dirty. The non stick coating was peeling on saucepan and frying pan. My husband had o tighten bolts on the bedframe to stop it rocking. There was a build up of windblown rubbish and cobwebs on the balcony and balcony furniture-it was clearly not recent. The stairwell was like a multi story car park, grubby and unsweetened, so much green algea on the window you couldn't see out. The parking area was full of rubbish, dirt nappies and cans rolling around. I have pictures.
