  • "Ashdown House is a spacious and lovely property and fitted our needs really well and more, well worth the price, tailor made for us and our extended family."

Due to less frequent household refuse collections we took some to the recycling which we've done in previous properties, but it may be worth mentioning it . The owner was really nice about our bottles, and we didn't mind as there were enough of us to do the occasional trip

  • "Ashdown House is the perfect family holiday bungalow."

Very spacious with dining area and conservatory as well as large kitchen and lounge. There is a second WC in the cloakroom / utility area which aids family living. All the equipment you need is there. The setting is quiet and the countryside views from the back garden are a delight. The owners live next door but are in no way intrusive, but very helpful when needed. There is a footpath that avoids the road hill on the walk back from a long day on the excellent beach. What more could you ask for.

  • "Excellent accommodation for our party of four."

The garden and patio gave us even more space. The property was immaculate on our arrival and the smart TV was useful for evenings when the weather wasn't very good. Saundersfoot and Tenby are both very picturesque resorts. We would recommend The Captain's Table, The Royal Oak and Periwinkle for meals out. It was unfortunate that the weather was disappointing for late June. I am recovering from two heart attacks, two spinal ops and reactive arthritis so my mobility is somewhat restricted. Anyone with a disability needs to take care in the main bathroom when the floor is wet to avoid any slips. I overcame this by drying myself within the confines of the shower area. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and thank the owners for providing such a nice quiet location for us to stay but also with easy access to Saundersfoot and a short drive to Tenby.

The beach, restaurants, shops and bus stop to Tenby are 5 minutes walk away. I would advise to book restaurants in advance. Our hosts Rachel and Tony were friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back to this property again. Many thanks, Bob Pauline Joyce Julie

It is a lovely house in a wonderful location. It is well maintained and presented, very well equipped and comfortable. The garden is a delight to sit in for a quiet read or to dine in on a summers evening. The owners checked with us at the start and end of the stay to ensure all was well.

  • "Overall a lovely property, in a really nice location."

Was very well presented, with a good tidy garden, and we had a fabulous week here. A couple of minor niggles, which didn't really detract from the stay but which should probably be fixed: - the listing sys that the property has a DVD player, when it does not - the Wi-Fi doesn't really reach beyond the lounge and kitchen. A booster would be useful, especially for those wet afternoons in with teenage children Thank you very much for a very good week.

It was just like home from home. It was extremely well equipped. The owners were next door and greeted us when we arrived and also called in before we left - what a personal touch. We could not have asked for more. The village was a walk away and as we were on holiday we used a local pub for our evening meal. This was Royal Oak Inn - the food was excellent as was the service - they made us feel most welcome and accommodated our needs.
