  • "We had a lovely stay at Sandy Bay House."

The property was well stocked and very clean and tidy. The owner was very helpful when we rang to get the key details and recommended local sites and restaurants. We would happily stay again at this property.

  • "Very homely feeling property with everything we needed."

We would have found it useful to have some information about the surrounding area (local knowledge on ‘hidden gems’ like secluded beaches, recommended restaurants etc) and an extra toilet would have made the property perfect

  • "Stayed for a week in Sandy Bay House, spotlessly clean, and everything we needed, a very private and enclosed outside seating area."

The area is so quiet but a good busy vibe in the centre of village. Lots of eateries and sandy beaches close by . We booked into the spa at St Brides Hotel on the one rainy day . Would definitely recommend this property and stay again. Thank you for a lovely holiday. Elaine.

  • "Sandy Bay House was a perfect location for myself and my 3 children to explore South Wales, despite a rather wet and blustery Easter week!"

The village of Saundersfoot is within easy reach and had a good range of restaurants, pubs and a few shops (booking a food delivery for the first day was worthwhile). The lovely quiet house was clean and comfortable and the offering of towels was gratefully received. The host is really easy to deal with and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Thank you.

Great location for visiting South Wales and of course wonderful Saundersfoot. The house had everything needed, although access to a hoover would have been ideal, espeically with 2 small children in our party.

  • "The property was neat and tidy, with everything you could need for a week away."

The property is located at the top of the hill with lovely views into the valley. There is also off-road parking down the side of the house, Infront of the property's garage. We were soon unpacked and it to the holiday with nice touches of the seaside theme through the house. We accidently bumped into the cleaners who were a lovely couple and made us feel at home straight away, they said any problem just give them a shout. The property owner was also very nice who gave me an insight to the property and things to do while in and around Saundersfoot. We will definitely come back again, we really enjoyed our stay. Jayne

  • "Sandy Bay is a lovely house in a beautiful location."

It is very comfortable and everything you need is there. We found the beds very comfy and we enjoyed sitting outside on the little patio. It was also appreciated being able to park the car off the road. Yes, it is a climb back from the town centre, but it all helped with my fitness levels!

  • "The property was very neat, tidy and clean and had most of the facilities you would need on a holiday."

The decor was nice and seaside themed and generally, it was a quiet place to stay. A pint of milk and a cake was provided for us on arrival. The outdoor seating area was again very neat and lovely to sit out on a good weather day. The house is located up a steep hill so just bear in mind you'll have to take a car or bus down to Saundersfoot if you don't fancy the steep walk back. To improve things, I would recommend the following (especially having paid the price we did): 1) Provide guest towels (most other cottages do) 2) We were told that tea bags were provided but there were only 5 left for us. Not a huge problem but I'd have brought some if I'd have known this. 3) There was a nespresso style coffee machine, but not coffee pods provided. We weren't going to buy them especially. 4) The TV reception was no good at all. Although the TV could pick up streaming channels, sometimes all we wanted to do was watch what was on TV at that time but not possible unless you watch BBC. Not a huge deal but again, it's the little details that help to improve your stay.

Thank you for your valued feedback. As the property is rented as self catering we like to provide our guests a welcome pack upon arrival to enable them to have often much needed refreshments such as tea , cake and milk until they have had time to do their own shop. The subject of towels is a matter of guest preference. We have listened to guest feedback over recent years and overwhelmingly guests prefer to use their own towels . We will continue to listen to guest feedback and can address this in future prior to guest arrival. One final comment related to tv reception is that we have had a new tv aerial installed as reception has been temperamental and there should now be a good choice of terrestrial and digital channels available . • "We’ve just enjoyed a week in Sandy Bay House and gorgeous Saundersfoot."

It’s a lovely, spotlessly clean and really well equipped house. As others have said, it is at the top of a steep hill but we used that as excuse to work off the holiday ice creams and get some steps in! On beach days we drove in and parked in the small car park by Tesco (£5 all day) but otherwise we walked. It’s located in a nice quiet road with plenty of parking available. The tv is a smart tv and doesn’t seem to be hooked up to terrestrial but that’s not an issue if you have Netflix etc. or bring some DVD’s. We weren’t in enough for it to be an issue. Would definitely stay again if we return to the town.

  • "Ok, so the house was wonderfully clean with comfy beds, good lounge, everything you’d need in the kitchen."

Separate shower room to the bath & shower was amazing in the heat. There was always hot water. Parking was fine, no problems. It is a way to the beach and town, down and up a steep hill. Mirror in master bedroom- I would like this slightly lower so I could sit on floor styling my hair. All in all, we had a wonderful time here.

  • "Very enjoyable stay at Sandy Bay House."

Superb location to Saundersfoot beach (which is fantastic!). You'd want to drive though as a steep return journey. House had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Found it impossible to get a phone signal from both our mobiles though although perhaps some networks would work?? Twin beds were slighly uncomfortable according to our 11 y.o; you could feel and hear the springs. I had no issues with the main bed and no complaints from 5 y.o about her single bed (but not a bunk bed as advertised?). Oven isnt the greatest taking much, much longer to cook food than usual. Owner was super quick to sort out any issues we had (blown bulbs, no H.D.M.I lead). I would definitely recommend this house and would holiday here again. p.s If you holiday here go to StoneCrab restaurant in Saundersfoot...omg!!

  • "We got back last night from a fabulous holiday."

We loved the lay out of the house. Very spacious, easy to keep clean and tidy. My 4yrs old doesn’t normally like not been in the same room as us but the way the house is laid out she felt confident to make herself at home. All the beds were really comfortable, we took our own pillows because of the current situation but the pillows at the house felt really good quality. We were left tea, coffee and sugar sachets and a pint of fresh milk in the fridge which was a really nice touch. The only thing we would of liked is to of been left with some hand soap and maybe more cutlery as there was only a set of 4 but the house sleeps 5 and we were missing a couple of kitchen utensils like a spatula and a pair of tongs. Again due to the current situation we weren’t left towels which was fine with us and we were told ornaments had been removed, the house due to the art work on the walls and soft furnishings didn’t at all feel bare and we preferred not having ornaments with 2 little children. The back garden was perfect for us, and was real little sun trap. The beach was just a ten minute walk away, we really enjoyed the walk but it wouldn’t be for everyone as the return is up a extremely steep hill. We loved the location of the house, really quiet and on a cul de sac so it was perfect for my daughter to ride on her bike. We were welcomed by very friendly neighbours too. Thank you for making our first family holiday as 4 really easy and enjoyable and also felt very safe at this uncertain time

  • "The house was well prepared and clean apart from some saucepans and wine glasses that needed re washing."

Central heating worked well which was needed as we had bad weather and overall the house was a comfortable place to stay. Feedback in the owners guest book was largely undeserved. One small thing we had a four hour journey to get to the house so some milk in the fridge and means for making for tea and coffee would have been appreciated. This is provided in all other house we have hired. The owner has tried hard to decorate the house cheerfully and was helpful on the phone when arranging to pick up the key.

  • "We really enjoyed the house and the town."

The house was very comfortable and clean, with all the necessities and generous on little things, like dishwasher tablets and loo roll. The town is much smaller and therefore more manageable than Tenby, but has everything you need, with multiple pubs and restaurants and shops. For us it was a full 20 minute walk down a steep hill to the town, but it is fine if everyone in your group is mobile, and equally there is parking in the town as an alternative. Lots of things to do in the nearby area -- my boys were thoroughly entertained and we enjoyed our holiday!

A good central location, in a nice quiet cul-de-sac and only a short distance from the lovely seaside town of Saundersfoot. The house was neat and tidy, with lovely décor throughout. Slight issue with the shower in the en-suite, not being able to regulate the temperature that well. However, we enjoyed our stay so much at Sandy Bay House, that we have booked to come back again later this year.
