  • "Absolutely amazing stay at this wonderful property."

Pictures do not do the place justice. On arrival we entered through some electric gates and drove past the owners property. It’s a short winding drive through beautiful countryside up to the Cwtch situated high up at the end of the private road meaning you will not be disturbed. There is a curved fence around the one side of the property giving you privacy from another small rental at the bottom of the hill. The hot tub is set to the side and is totally private but offers a wonderful view of the countryside whilst sitting in the bubbles. The hut has everything you need for your stay from cutlery to cooking equipment. You do not need to take any bedding, cutlery etc. We did take our own plastic wine glasses for in the hot tub – but there are some in the property. For the really picky people, yes the fridge/freezer is in the shed but we took a cool box so that didn’t bother us. Also as forewarned the wifi is hit and miss - you are in the middle of the countryside what do you expect! We took our own wifi dongle which worked perfect so we didn’t have any problems. The owners were on hand to assist with any questions we had, nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t need any face to face assistance and it was nice that we were trusted to come and go as we pleased and were not disturbed. The key was in the door on arrival as promised so we simply let ourselves in. We cannot fault our stay at the Cwtch and highly recommend it. Thank you for a great holiday.

  • "We loved our stay!"

It was a lovely cosy get away. The hot tub was wonderful, in a very private location, it was clean and very well maintained. The Cwtch was a lovely size for 2 people. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice and large, you felt you had a lot of space for its size. There was a shed with a washing machine and full size fridge freezer and bin. The only thing I would have liked was a hob and oven. There was a induction plate in the cupboard but only enough for one pan. We only stayed for the weekend, but if we were staying longer it would have been a struggle for us to cook and maintain a self catering experience. We also assumed this cabin was on its own in a field somewhere from the pictures, but its close to other holiday lets and cabins. But we loved it and would definitely go again.

  • "Lovely Stay at the Cwtch for 2 nights."

It's as described on the website. We found it very useful to have a large fridge feeder in the shed nearby and a washing machine. The hot tub was good even though it rained for most of the weekend. Only negatives are the WiFi is hit and miss but the location is very remote. And it says underfloor heating but we couldn't seem to get that working. It wasn't very cold so didn't worry and if really necessary i am sure the owners would have sorted it out if we had pestered them. Would definitely stay again. Would definitely stay again.

Thanks so much glad you enjoyed your stay you’re right the internet is hit and miss as it’s a 4G connection which is all we can get☹️ Property Owner

It had everything we could think of, it has a microwave, toaster, and a portable electric stove that is kept in the cupboard. The shower is lovely and big with plenty of hot water, the towels were lovely, fluffy and clean (I personally would prefer a bath sheet) the hut was spotless and when we arrived there was tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter and some lovely Welsh cakes (a great treat

  • "We loved our stay at 'The Cwtch' and absolutely plan to return."

After some stressful times we wanted time to recharge in comfort with nature, this was perfect. Such a beautiful peaceful place, exactly what we were after. The accommodation is comfortable for two, we felt the bathroom / shower was a good size and didn't struggle with space / storage at all. The utility shed is a great addition! Featuring a full size fridge freezer and washing machine it makes a week stay, perfectly comfortable with little need for top up shopping. The owners are lovely, friendly people with a beautiful, well maintained property. Unlike some previous reviewers we weren't bothered by the dogs at all. They did visit us maybe 3 times through our week stay but they were super friendly and were just after some fusses. For a treat we'd recommend Neil's Fish and Chips in St Clears.

It was awesome to be able to sit out watching the buzzards and red kites circling overhead or to sit in the hot tub gazing up at the starlit night sky. I had such a peaceful, relaxing stay that it was hard to pack up and leave.

Our only point for improvement would be for a simple roof over the hot tub. It did rain and we were unable to use it. However, a simple roof would have meant we could still have used the hot tub. This would have made our stay perfect.

  • "The property is spotlessly clean, in a perfect location."

The views from the Shepherds hut is very nice. We were very lucky to have lovely sunny weather, and visited many beaches near by, Pendine was particularly lovely, dog friendly with a pub. It was lovely sitting in the evening around the firpit with as much wood as you need. Downsides: Could do with a mini fridge inside the shepherds hut, as the main one is in a outside shed along with the washing machine. More storage in the bathroom to store toiletries. Their own dogs roam free, leaving unwanted packages around the property,as this is not fenced in, often appearing, which put us a bit on edge as our dog can be grumpy with others. More contact from the hosts, who did answer questions via text. But would have been nice to have met them early on. In other holiday let's, the hot tub was checked daily, on this occasion it wasn't checked at all.. Overall we did have a lovely time, but would have been 5 star if the above had been addressed, saying that,we would definitely stay again.

  • "Absolutely loved The Cwtch."

It was peaceful and relaxing, the views are stunning. I would recommend to anyone who asked! Penny is an amazing host, we didn't arrive till 9.30pm, which I made her aware of, penny left the lights on for us. And was only phone call away if we needed any assistance. The direction breakdown on the website is spot on! Follow them when your arriving. The welcome pack was lovely the malteasers and Welsh cakes went down well. We loved the fact there was a full sized fridge freezer in the shed, this meant that we was able to cook our own food. There is lack of cooking facilities, however we was aware of this and brought our portable bbq & coals. There is a a portable induction hob and pans which is really good! Penny also recommended a lovely walk for us to do, and i am so glad she did! The cwtch is in an amazing location (maximum 1hr to coastal paths & beaches) , we went to Pendine, tenby, manorbeir(coastal path) and Bosherston- lily ponds, then the costal path to barafundle beach then Stackpole quay. (Maybe a things to do book would be good for those who don't know the area?) The things that we feel could be improved are: -The bed! It is so noisy, every time you turn over it wakes you up because its so squeaky. -There was no outdoor garbage bin (like what the other properties have) we had to leave bin bags in the shed. We didn't like the idea of this. - A mini fridge in the cabin would've been nice, so you could wake up and make a coffee without running to the shed (especially if it's raining). -Lack of storage in the bathroom, no where to put your toiletries. ** The main thing for us which put us off a little bit was that the owners dogs roam the property  (which is lovely for them) however if you are scared of dogs or have a protective dog (like we do, she becomes reactive if a dog comes up to her unexpectedly) then maybe just be aware of this. Once we knew that there was dogs roaming around we were more cautious, although it put us on edge a little.** All that being said thank you for such an amazing holiday! Just what we needed after working the hectic pandemic, it allowed us to recharge our batteries, we didn't want to leave.

I was picking it up along with our own dog but it was happening 2 or 3 times a day so stopped picking it up unless it was our dog! Bed was atrocious, noisy/squeaky/uncomfortable/thin lumpy mattress. Would not stay there again due to these issues.

Penny was very welcoming and said to call or go to their house on site if there are any issues. The Cwtch is tastefully decorated, with good design features such as the wooden pegs that run around two of the inside walls - excellent for hanging coats,.bags etc. There is plenty of hot water, both to the hut and the outside kitchen, which is a great idea! Seeing as the Cwtch is on a shared site with other holiday let's, I found it to be very peaceful. After a few hours at one of the seaside resorts, I just wanted to return to the peace and tranquility of the Cwtch, and enjoy the views from the hot tub. It really is a special place!
